A Ginger Snap! PPA 296 Sketch Challenge!

As you are reading this post, I am attending On Stage Live in Salt Lake City!  I can't wait to share all the new ideas and product with you!  And of course, that includes a new catalog.  But, I do have to follow the rules so the catalog will not be shown for awhile.  In the meantime, check out my creation this week for the PPA sketch challenge,

The sketch by the very talented Susan Itell, makes card making fun!.  So much you can do with this one.  Consider joining us with this challenge.

It seems that the past few days I have been fixated on A Nice Cuppa stamp set from Stampin' Up!  For this card, I used the single cup image with the matching frame lit.  The "steam" provides a bit of whimsy and is courtesy of the Cup & Kettle Framelits Dies.  This set has some fun pieces that I am itching to try.

The Designer Series Paper for my card can be found in the Sweet Li'l Things Paper Pack from the 2015 – 2016 S. U. Annual Catalog.  The card base & the mats are created with Tip Top Taupe Cardstock.

One of my favorite embellishments in the Occasions Catalog are the Have a Cuppa Embellishments.  The teaspoon hanging from the handle of the cup is just what this card needed.  It is tied to the handle of the cup with a piece of Gold Metallic Baker's Twine.

The Very Vanilla Medium Envelope gets some loving' too via the Envelope Liner Framelits & some matching dap.  It is so nice to be able to provide a special envelope with a handmade card and the best part is that it is so easy with the Envelope Liner Framelits.

A Ginger Snap! Welcome!

It is always exciting to welcome new team members to the Gingerstampers and during Sale-a-bration we had a few new gals join our group.  Wanting to welcome them to our team, I sent the following card.

The stamp set Welcome Words offers many possibilities for "welcoming" people with a variety of sentiments.  I can see it as a set that I will use often.  For this card, the card base is Mint Macron Cardstock.  The accent color is Calypso Coral and it is repeated with the ink for stamping the word Welcome and again with the Baker's Twine.

In addition to a nice selection of sentiments, the Welcome Words Stamp Set has some small graphic stamps that can add some interest to a card.  I used several of these when I stamped off with Mint Macron Ink on my sentiment panel.  A strip of  Mint Macron Washi Tape from It's My Party Designer Washi Tape pulls the eye toward the sentiment panel.

This is a fun & super simple card to put together.  Sometimes I have to remind myself that actually sending a card is more important than waiting to create a masterpiece.  How about you?  Do you get the cards sent that you intend to send?

A Ginger Snap! Thinking of You!

This card is for a friend who has some surgery coming up.  For me, a cup of tea is always comforting and that is exactly the feeling I wanted to send to her.

For this card, I used product from the  Have a Cuppa suite.  My favorite way to create is gathering the supplies offered by Stampin' Up! as a suite.  Everything matches and there are no tough decisions to make concerning what will go together.

Product used for this card:

  • Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack – filled with luscious choices of paper!
  • A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set – perfect images for that relaxed feeling!
  • Cup & Kettle Framelits Dies – perfect to cut out those stamped images and even some dies that stand alone!
  • Have a Cuppa Embellishments – did I mention that these are some of my favorite embellishments!
  • Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon – adds just that right pop of color!
  • Tea Lace Paper Doilie – even the name sounds elegant!

A piece of matching dsp, adds extra charm to the envelope.  And, it gives the postman something to smile about.
