Creating cards is especially fun when they are sent to special people and that is what my post today is about.

Happy Anniversary Beth & Jason! I have such special memories of that day 11 years ago when you said "I Do"! Our daughter Beth was a beautiful bride and our Son-In-Law Jason is definitely a keeper. Hope this day is just as special for you today as it was 11 years ago.
A few card details. The background paper with the tiny hearts – found in the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack – is perfect for my card. Their color scheme was this same shade of light purple (Wisteria Wonder to be exact!). A Tea Lace Paper Doilie provides an elegant backdrop for the intricate & lacy Silver Foil Heart created with the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit Die & Silver Foil Paper.
The numbers & the sentiment from the Number of Years Stamp Set are stamped with Wild Wasabi Ink & the numbers are cut out with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies. This stamp set & framelits are a definite must have. Just consider all the possibilities for birthdays, anniversaries, retirements etc.
Just a reminder that if you would like to take advantage of the extra free stamp set included in the April Paper Pumpkin Kit, time is running out. You have to be signed up by April 10th in order to receive your extra free stamp set. Click Paper Pumpkin to see more.

It's time for another PPA Sketch Challenge so get your creative juices flowing. This sketch is fun to play with making it very possible to join the fun this week at the PPA. A special thanks to Dawn Tidd – the sketch designer this week.

The sketch was just what I needed in order to create a masculine birthday card for my brother-in-law. I used In the Meadow and an Aqua Painter with Cajun Craze & Crushed Curry Ink. The deer are colored with Crumb Cake & Sahara Sand ink and cut out with a Circle Framelit. The edges are inked with Cajun Craze Ink.

The card base is embossed with the Zig Zag Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from Balloon Celebration. I felt that the font matched the feel of my card.

A few Cajun Craze Candy Dots accent the sentiment layer. In addition, I wrapped Linen Thread around the bottom of the card 3 times and tied a knot.

Although my Easter Wishes are a day late, they are still very sincere. I thought that I would share some treat boxes that I gifted the adults with at our Easter Celebration. Although the weather was cold, windy & generally miserable, we did brave it for an outdoor egg hunt for the kids. They loved it and were not affected by the weather. Oh, to be young again.
I purchased some cream eggs from a local chocolate shop and wanted to package them for Easter.

After the eggs were wrapped in parchment paper, the boxes were the perfect size.

Such fun spring colors!
