It's time for another PPA Sketch Challenge so get your creative juices flowing. This sketch is fun to play with making it very possible to join the fun this week at the PPA. A special thanks to Dawn Tidd – the sketch designer this week.
The sketch was just what I needed in order to create a masculine birthday card for my brother-in-law. I used In the Meadow and an Aqua Painter with Cajun Craze & Crushed Curry Ink. The deer are colored with Crumb Cake & Sahara Sand ink and cut out with a Circle Framelit. The edges are inked with Cajun Craze Ink.
The card base is embossed with the Zig Zag Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from Balloon Celebration. I felt that the font matched the feel of my card.
A few Cajun Craze Candy Dots accent the sentiment layer. In addition, I wrapped Linen Thread around the bottom of the card 3 times and tied a knot.

This card is true to the design that was given but most of all it is a heart warming card.I like the positioning of the card, the colors used the written HAPPY BIRTHDAY and the dots used. I think your Brother-in-Law will like this card.
You must really love your brother-in-law as I would want to keep this beauty for myself to sit where I could see it all the time! This is just jaw dropping gorgeous in my book. This sketch is perfect for this card or the other way around! I really think the coloring is just perfect for the leaves as well as the deer. Just great! Plus the pieces of colorful cardstock layers are just the perfect complement! Of course you know I love texture and I think you nailed it with the dots, the thread and the EF! Truly a work of art! Well done my friend!!!
That’s MY kind of watercoloring. Beautiful, artful scene!
Wow, this is an outstanding beautiful work of art!
Gorgeous scene you created there, Ginger! You’re almost swaying me toward purchasing this set. 🙂 I love how you split the sentiment with the circle in the center of the banner. Great idea!!
Ginger, I love your coloring skills. The trees are picture perfect, but the deer, oh my, I love to eat dear. LoL
So beautiful! He will love this card.
