A Ginger Snap! Schoolhouse Party With Confetti Celebration!

Originally I made the card today for the PPA 302 Sketch Challenge but thought that it may be a little bright.  After creating another card for the challenge, I decided to share my card that didn't make the cut but one that I still like!  The stamp set is Confetti Celebration – available June 1st.

This is definitely a bright card & very appropriate for any celebration!  I love the color palette but I think it was too bright for my husband.  He is actually the reason I created a different card for the challenge.

The paper is all from the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper Pack.  I like the technique of stamping on patterned paper and that is what I did here with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The layers are matted with Basic Black Cardstock.

Candy Dots & a matching envelope made from the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper with the Envelope Punch Board are the finishing touches.

Please tell me what you think about my card today – is it too wild & bright or does it fit for a celebration.

A Ginger Snap! PPA Sketch Challenge!

My friend & fellow Pal Nicole Watt designed a fun challenge for us this week.

And here is the sketch from Nicole.

A new Paper Pack named Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Paper creates some visual interest.  Although I have used 2 different patterns of dsp, they actually complement one another.  This paper is bright & bold!  I calmed it down by using Night of Navy Mats on the dsp pieces.

Some faux stitching with a Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker helps to draw the eye out & accents the 5" x 5" Crumb Cake Card Base. The sentiment from Layering Love is stamped with Night of Navy Ink on a piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock that is cut out with an Oval Framelit.

Pearls add a nice accent to the side of the oval sentiment.  And, you can spot 1 solitary Pearl at the bottom of the sentiment. In order to draw out the Mint Macaron Color,  I created an envelope from Mint Macaron Envelope Paper with the Envelope Punch Board.

A Ginger Snap! Painter’s Palette Meets Washi Tape!

My card for you today is quick, easy & fun!

Washi Tape rt2

I stamped the Painter's Palette with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & snipped it out with my Paper Snips.  It is popped up over stripe of Playful Palette Washi  Tape.

The sentiment from Painter's Palette is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink directly on the card.

The sprinkles also from the Painter's Palette stamp set are inked in Emerald Envy & stamped off twice prior to stamping over the sentiment.
