My friend & fellow Pal Nicole Watt designed a fun challenge for us this week.
And here is the sketch from Nicole.
A new Paper Pack named Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Paper creates some visual interest. Although I have used 2 different patterns of dsp, they actually complement one another. This paper is bright & bold! I calmed it down by using Night of Navy Mats on the dsp pieces.
Some faux stitching with a Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker helps to draw the eye out & accents the 5" x 5" Crumb Cake Card Base. The sentiment from Layering Love is stamped with Night of Navy Ink on a piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock that is cut out with an Oval Framelit.
Pearls add a nice accent to the side of the oval sentiment. And, you can spot 1 solitary Pearl at the bottom of the sentiment. In order to draw out the Mint Macaron Color, I created an envelope from Mint Macaron Envelope Paper with the Envelope Punch Board.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Please consider joining us at the PPA this week.
Hugs,
Ginger
Love the paper, the stamp set and the border above the dsp! Very simple but a knockout card!
I like the different techniques you used the short cross pieces that offset each other. The border on the Crumb Cake base. The pearls on the right side highlighting the saying.
Yowza! Faux stitching AND pearls…be still my heart! I love how all of the patterns in this DSP collection work so well together. A great card with a great sentiment, my friend!!!
This is the sweetest sentiment! Fabulous with the patterns you chose! And I love the doodles!
All I can say is Awesome!! Love everything & I truly mean everything about this card! I agree with Margie it is a knockout for this card!
This is my favorite new paper and it looks fantastic here! Your “stitching” sets the shoe thing off perfectly!
I adore the patterns you put together and how you decorated the border!
Love Ann’s comment – took the words right out of my mouth or fingers! I think I will like this new DP suite. Wouldn’t a border of those little flowers look cute on the envelope?
