Originally I made the card today for the PPA 302 Sketch Challenge but thought that it may be a little bright. After creating another card for the challenge, I decided to share my card that didn't make the cut but one that I still like! The stamp set is Confetti Celebration – available June 1st.
This is definitely a bright card & very appropriate for any celebration! I love the color palette but I think it was too bright for my husband. He is actually the reason I created a different card for the challenge.
The paper is all from the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper Pack. I like the technique of stamping on patterned paper and that is what I did here with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The layers are matted with Basic Black Cardstock.
Candy Dots & a matching envelope made from the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper with the Envelope Punch Board are the finishing touches.
Please tell me what you think about my card today – is it too wild & bright or does it fit for a celebration.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
How can a card be to bright. I like bright. The one DAP makes me think of bricks. A celebration should be bright with a big HOORAY! I like your bright card.
Too bright or wild for a celebration, I think not! What fun this is with all the polka dots and those candy dots are the best! Love the brick looking pattern mixed in there for added fun. Stamping on the DP is so cool and something I forget to do. The black mats are the perfect choice. Love it a lot! If this was a shirt I am sure the early character on Saturday Night Live would say he is a “Wild and Crazy Guy with a shirt to match!”
To bright??? You got to be kidding me! I love everything about this card, no way is it to bright. I think it’s a perfect card for a celebration. I love the brick looking paper &I the matching color candy dots. I’ve never stamped on dsp before but love the couple of cards you did so something new for me to try! Awesome card!!
I agree! How can something be too bright! Love the brick background, the dots and the stamp! This is a knock out of the park card.
