My post today is in honor of my sister Margie who is retiring after 38 dedicated years in Education as a teacher, an Administrator, and finally as a Librarian. She has touched the lives of many children, faculty, staff and other professionals. This quote from a young student says it all "Miss Margie who is going to smile at us when we come into the library and who is going to help us select our books." This one is for you Miss Margie!
My card uses the returning stamp set Wild About Flowers & the new Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper. This paper is vibrant and just perfect for a gal who loves pink like Margie! The stamp set has the perfect sentiments for a retirement card.
I used many patterns of DSP from the Pop of Pink DSP Pack. The combo of pink, black & white is a dynamite combo. It fits the bill nicely for my card for Margie. The sentiment on the inside of the card says "Congratulations on your Retirement, you've earned it!"
The flower is grounded by a strip from Work of Art stamped in Old Olive Ink.
Are you as busy making your wish list for the new catalog as I am? Oh my gosh, I have made so many lists that I need to code them so I know what to order first! What items are at the top of your list?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
Thank you for such a sweet card and posting. I will miss the children and many co-workers. I now have time to copy Ginger’s cards and go wild on my own!
This card is even prettier in person! Hope they get the Pop of Pink DSP off back order because there will be lots of casing of your card! Thank you for helping celebrate Margie’s retirement at the gathering yesterday! Awesome card!!
I had to come into the “big” computer to leave a message. I couldn’t achieve it on the Kindle Fire, couldn’t get to the message box. I love this card, I like all the different DSP I love the strip of green (like grass) at the bottom. I liked the stamp set and the greetings. I even like The Demonstrator, who does wonderful artistic work.
Oh so sweet and pretty! Love all those patterns. I bet a some of the kiddos will keep in touch with Margie. Sounds like your sister might be your best customer from now on Ginger! I hope you have many happy hours creating together.
