In my opinion. one of the most delicious items in the new 2016 SU Holiday Catalog is the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

If you mist your cardstcok with some water prior to embossing, the result is so lifelike. It truly does look like a warm winter sweater. Because the Embossing Folder is so thick iy only requires 1 standard cutting pad for the sandwich.

The sentiment from Wrapped in Warmth is inked with Emerald Envy Ink. After inking the stamp, I used a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the word Christmas. Then I used a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to color it red. The sentiment layer is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals & placed on top of a Delicate White Dollie so that only edges of the doillie show.

Did you see the strips of Warmth & Cheer Designer Washi Tape at the top of my sentiment piece? It is topped with a bow created with the Bow Builder Punch & the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack. The final touch is a 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shape.

Aug 18, 2016 | Christmas, PPA card, Sneak Peek |
It's time to play with the Pals Paper Arts (PPA) Sketch Challenge. I used product from the new 2016 Holiday Catalog.
Here is the sketch by my friend & fellow Pal Amy Lazell.

My take on the sketch is definitely a more modern look using the "Bokeh" Technique for my tree. In addition, my background uses the Watercolor Wash stamp with stamped off Dapper Denim Ink which is then embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

After turning the sketch, I used the Noel Thinlit from the Christmas Stocking Thinlits Dies with Emerald Envy c.s. to create my horizontal piece. I chose to move that element up on my card. My bit of whimsy on this card is the star for my tree which is placed inside the "o" of Noel.

I broke out the Jar of Haunts for a fun card that totally reminds me of my daughter Beth. She Loves candy corn so I always try to pick up a bag for her. Now I have a card to go with it!

Ginger's Snaps:
- Thick Whisper White card base 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2.
- Pumpkin Pie Glitter Paper 4 x 5-1/4.
- Whisper White c.s. 3-1/8 x 4-3/8.
- Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper 3 x 4-1/4.
- Stamp the jar on Whisper White c.s. with Archival Black Ink. Cut with the Everyday Jars Framelits.
- Stamp the jar lid on Whisper White c.s. with Delightful Dijon Ink. Cut with the Everyday Jars Framelits.
- Stamp the "candy corn" image three times on Whisper White c.s. with Aechival Black Ink. Color each pice of candy with the Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil delight Stampin' Write Markers. Fussy cut & pop up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Wrap Halloween Night Baker's Twine around the top of the jar about 3 times & secure. Attach a bow made with the same twine using a Glue Dot.

The Pumpkin Pie Glitter Paper is bright & adds a fun touch to my card. I created a wide mat from it to serve as a nice frame for my focal image.

I chose to use the Pumpkin Pie/Black Baker's twine but you also get a Basic Black/Basic Gray Baker's Twinein the same package. This twine is fun to use with the Jars.

Of course the inside of my card needed some fun too. I used a strip of Halloween Night Designer Washi Tape across the bottom of my card using the leftover pieces to attach my sentiment which is stamped on Pumpkin Pie c.s with Memento Black Ink.
