A Ginger Snap! All Aboard to the North Pole!

Yesterday I mentioned that there are always a few stamp sets in a new catalog that catch my eye and are must haves for me.  Today I am using another one of those stamp sets.  This one is called Christmas Magic.  I even love the name!

  • Attach a Mini Pinecone to the bow on the wreath with a Glue Dot.

Here's a magnified view of the sign with the mini pinecone.  Aren't those pinecones adorable?  I can't wait to use more of those!

I am having a lot of fun creating a few Christmas cards in order to provide you with some Sneak peeks from the 2016-2017 Holiday Catalog.  This stamp set has an adorable snowman that I am also anxious to use.

Because my image is quite busy, I chose a simple design in order to make the art piece the center of the show.  But, I do want to create a card with just the sign post.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Please leave a comment if you would like because one of the highlights of my day is hearing from my Blog Readers.  I appreciate your comments & the time it takes for you to leave one.

Below is a list of products used on my card.  If you see products that you would like to purchase, be sure to add them to your wish list for the September 1st start of the Holiday Catalog.

Hugs,

Ginger

A Ginger Snap! Father Christmas!

Every time that I receive a new Stampin' Up! catalog there are a few stamp sets or bundles that take my breath away.  Father Christmas is one of those sets.  I knew that it would definitely be on my preorder for the Holiday Catalog.

The Father Christmas image is stamped in Archival Black on Watercolor Paper because I used the Aqua Painter with a variety of Classic Inks.

After watercoloring the image, I cut it out using an oval from Layering Ovals Framelits.  While I had the framelits out, I also cut a scallop oval from Very Vanilla Cardstock.  The cut out pieces will eventually be popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The layer behind the colored image is Soft Suede C.S. & the images are stamped with Soft Suede Ink.  The tone-on-tone adds to the vintage feel of my card.  Stampin' Dimensionals will also pop this layer up after the next step.

A narrow strip of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series paper is adhered to the card base prior to adding the watercolored image layer.  In addition,  Real Red Candy Lane Baker's Twine is wrapped around the Soft Suede Layer & tied in a bow.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  P;ease remember that if you have any questions about my creations, I am only an email away and chatting with my blog readers is a highlight in my day.

A Ginger Snap! Tin of Tags Teaser!

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Montana and I spent a part of it putting together the adorable Tin of Tags. Now a lll I have to do is shop for the presents!

The tags have some charming details and you get enough supplies in the tin to create 3 of each tag for a total of 30 tags.  The best part – they all fit inside the tin so when the Holidays arrive, I will know exactly where I put my tags.

Here's a closer look at them as I split them into 2 pictures.

And, the other half.

The tag leaning against the tin actually has a large silver snowflake but it is catching the reflection of the red tin & the blue from the tag.  Gosh, I bet they will be beautiful on a package under the tree with the tree lights reflecting off of the silver snowflake.

Each tag has a To & a From that I stamped in a coordinating color on the back so these beauties are truly ready for gift giving!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Remember that this Tin of Tags Set will be available for ordering on September 1, 2016.

Hugs
