May 18, 2014 | Hello, Thank You |
Yesterday I talked about the wonderful ideas that Stampin' Up! makes available to their Demonstrators. Today I wanted to share another example. This card also involves some Sneak Peeks!

Isn't he just the cutest Octopus ever! After stamping him in Night of Navy Ink, I cut him out with my Paper Snips. It wasn't necessary but I wanted to pop him up with dimensionals so that his tenacle could wrap around the toothpick holding the "hello" sign.

I got ahead of myself so let me back up and explain the pop of color behind that cutie patootie Octapus. I put a few drops of Coastal Cabana Reinker in the lid of the ink pad. Using my Aqua Painter, I squirted a few drops of water from my Aqua Painter into the lid and swished my Aqua Painter around the lid to pick up some ink. Using the Aqua Painter, brush back and forth across an acrylic block. Turn the block over and stamp it on your Whisper White Cardstock. Hold the block in place for a few minutes so the color can transfer.
The paper creating the background mat is from the Maritime Designer series Paper Pack that will be available June 2. I created the little banner and used glue dots to adhere it to a part of a toothpick.
Now I realize that some of you do not like to fussy cut so I also made a version of this card for you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

One of the priveledges of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is receiving a Stampin' Success Magazine published by Stampin' Up!. I love receiving it because it always has make-n-take ideas plus ways to step it up. The best part is that the ideas are easy to reproduce but still have a "wow" factor. Today I am sharing one of the card ideas with you.

Lots of Sneak peeks again! The Hello Honey cardbase is from the new In Colors and the hearts are punched with the new Itty Bitty Accents Punches using a new Designer Series Paper Stack called Moonlight. A Vintage Faceted Designer Button tied with Linen Thread adds the perfect accent to my card.

Although this card is a tad smaller than most of mine, it is still mailable. It is what is called a Notecard. Don't you think that the decorated envelope adds to the charm? The sentiment is also from the set Something to Say and it is stamped with Basic Gray Ink. The sweet heart stamped over the sentiment with Hello Honey Ink is also from this stamp set.

Both of the cardstock hearts are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Whisper White rectangle is also popped up which makes the "negative space" from the punched out heart have dimension.
STAMPIN' Up! SUPPLIES USED:
sneak peeks: Something to Say 134177, $29.95 ; 134180, $21.95
Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack 133787, $16.95
Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack 133701, $6.95
If you would like the opportunity to receive the next Stampin' Success Magazine and have access to a wonderful Online Community of stampers, consider joing the Gingerstampers. The best part is that for $99 you get to select $125 worth of Stampin' Up! Merchandise, including some of the new items from the upcoming catalog. And, you can choose how active you want to be. There is absolutely no committment to sell or buy anything unless you choose to. Plus, as a Demonstrator, you get a discount on all of your purchases. If this sounds like something you want to try, email me today and we can start the conversation. I would love to have you as a member of my team.

I still had the Traveler Stamp set out from yesterday so I decided to use another image from it for my card today. My Very Vanilla cardbase is a standard size.

Using an Aqua Painter & a few drops of Coastal Cabana Reinker in the lid of my Coastal cabana Ink Pad, I painted one of my Clear Acrylic Blocks. I stamped it on my card and let it dry.
After inking the ship image from the Traveler stamp set with Memento Black Ink, I stamped off & then stamped the ship image on the Coastal Cabana square.
Da Plane, da Plane is from Around the World Stamp Set. It was stamped off the same way as the ship.

The wave-like dsp was just perfect for my card. It is actually another sneak peek from the Maritime paper pack. A small 1/4" strip of Basic Black cardstock separates the paper from the stamped image. A Basic Metal Button tied with Linen Thread adds some texture and dimension to the card.
