A Ginger Snap! The Eyes Have It!

Be sure to look carefully to see what might be staring back at you!

Ghost left

The Motley Monsters Designer Series paper has this fun sheet of paper.  As you can see, I cut it so I could use both the trees and the eyes.  Angling both pieces of dsp, allowed me to leave a band of space between the paper pieces.  The sentiment –Happy Halloween-  from the stamp set And Many More was the perfect size to to fit in this opening.  Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I was able to stamp the sentiment right where I wanted it.

Fall Fest Ghost rt

Every good haunting needs a flying ghost!  This one is from the set Fall Fest and it was stamped with Sahara Sand Ink.  Included in the Fun Fall Framelit Dies is the perfect framelit to cut out my ghost.  I couldn't resist using a snippet of Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine to give my ghost a dangling experience.

With all the eyes upon you, my ghost needed some Rhinestone eyes so s/he could join the fun!  It's hard to believe how fast the summer has gone but fall will be here before you kow it.  And, you know what comes with fall – all the little ghosts and goblins that arrive with Halloween.

Both the dsp and the stamp set will be available to order starting August 28th.  Please leave me a message to tell me what you think of my "flying ghost".  I appreciate your emails and I do read each and every one of them!

A Ginger Snap! Batter Up!

My daughter and her 2 children came up to surprise my husband for his birthday.  It was such a nice gesture and Bob truly appreciated it.  But, that means that I also took a little vacation from creating.  So, I am sharing with you a card that we made at Club the other night.

  Baseball rt

I got this idea from Janet Holmes.  It is just perfect for this time of year and it can be used with so many other sports.  I am definitely keeping this card in mind.  The Circle Framelits were used to cut the baseball.  Then I just laid them on my card for a template for the arched lines.  The stitching was done freehand.

The Gorgeous Grunge stamp set inked in Crumb Cake Ink provides the background splatter.  The sentiment is from Fabulous Four.  That stamp set has become one of my very favorites.  It has a nice variety of sentiments and the size of the sentiment is perfect for most of my cards.

A few banners and a length of Whisper White Baker's Twine tied around the layer complete my card.

A Ginger Snap! PPA Color Challenge!

First, let me apologize to those of you who tried to access my blog earlier.  We had big storms last night and my computer was affected.  At any rate, the challenge today is to use Strawbwrry Slush, Pear Pizazz and basic Black.  Sounds yummy doesn't it!

Flower Patch left

I chose to use the Flower Patch & the Bordering Blooms Stamp sets.  I inked several flowers from Flower Patch with Strawberry Slush Ink & cut them out with the Flower Fair Framelits.  A few Stampin' Dimensionals to create some dimension & my flower is almost finished. The center is created with a small image from the same set stamped in Memento Black Ink & cut with the matching Framelit.  Pear Pizazz Candy Dot adds a spot of color to the center of my flower.

Flower Patch w Envie rt

The diagonal band across my card was stamped with an image from Bordering Blooms with Pear Pizazz Ink.  The flap of the envelope gets the same treatment.  In order for the diagonal border not to get overpowered by the vibrancy of the Strawberry Slush dsp from  the All Abloom dsp pack,  I used some Sweet Sadie Washi Tape to edge the border of the stamped vines.

A few Pear Pizazz leaves and the outside of my card is complete.

The inside of my card needed a bit of color too.

Flower Patch inside

The Photopolymer Stamp Set Another Thank You provides the sentiments for both inside and outside my card,  In addition, I used the small leftover strip of leftover dsp from the All Abloom dsp pack to tie the inside and front of my card together.
