For the next few days, I will be sharing sneak peeks from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Today my peek is for the stamp set Bearing Gifts.

Isn't this an adorable stamp? The good news is that it is also very reasonable – just $10.95. My card base is Watercolor paper. I used an Aqua Painter with a variety of my Classic Ink Pads. I stamped the image with Black Staz On Ink. Remember the rule that opposites attract. Since the inks that I am watercoloring with are water based, I must use an ink that is alcohol based to stamp the image. Otherwise my ink will run.

As you can see, my card is basically one layer with the exception of the small button that accents the sentiment. If you look closely, you can see another sneak peek. i used the Confetti Stars Punch with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. My Two Way Glue Pen was used to adhere the stars to my card.

At the Stampin' Up! Convention, I learned about a technique called Zentangle – think of it as doodling. It is a relaxing technique that you can do anywhere. And, you do not have to be artistic to try it. Check it out.

Remember that there are no rules - just doodle! Usually the technique is done on a small square of paper but I thought that it would be interesting on the Blended Bloom flower.

If you look at my flower, you will notice that I usually repeated a pattern 3 times on various petals. I changed up my patterns so that I had some patterns that were darker and some that had more open space.

Zentangle is an art form. If you are interested, google it to see many pattern suggestions. I even learned that there are books available. But, I just had fun doodling and I will definitely try it again. What do you think about this process? Please leave me a comment below with your thoughts.

After I finished my card for today and looked at it, I thought " this reminds me of a Native American Dream Catcher.

The dsp circle is from the Moonlight Designer Series Pack and it was cut with a Circle Framelit. The feathers from the stamp set Four Feathers were stamped with Crushed Curry Ink, Melon Mambo Ink, Tangerine Tango Ink & Daffodil delight Ink. The Feather Framelits Dies makes quick work of cutting these feathers out.

My feathers are tied together with a sweet bow made from Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine and then they are popped up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

A fun banner/arrow cut from a scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock highlights my group of feathers in my dreamcatcher. The sentiment on my arrow is from the set And Many More. My arrow/banner is also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Although it does not show up very well in the photograph, there is an embossed edge around all four sides of the front of my card. These embossed lines were created with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! And here's hoping that all of your dreams are caught – maybe I should day all of your "good" dreams!
