My daughter and her 2 children came up to surprise my husband for his birthday. It was such a nice gesture and Bob truly appreciated it. But, that means that I also took a little vacation from creating. So, I am sharing with you a card that we made at Club the other night.
I got this idea from Janet Holmes. It is just perfect for this time of year and it can be used with so many other sports. I am definitely keeping this card in mind. The Circle Framelits were used to cut the baseball. Then I just laid them on my card for a template for the arched lines. The stitching was done freehand.
The Gorgeous Grunge stamp set inked in Crumb Cake Ink provides the background splatter. The sentiment is from Fabulous Four. That stamp set has become one of my very favorites. It has a nice variety of sentiments and the size of the sentiment is perfect for most of my cards.
A few banners and a length of Whisper White Baker's Twine tied around the layer complete my card.
Thanks for stopping by ny blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
The baseball looks so real. Nice job! I see other possibilities for other sports–as you have mentioned!
Not to difficult to make. Fun!fun. Learned a new technique!
What a cute card! I love it and it can be used for so many things! Good job!
Fun! Yes we could use that for other balls like tennis etc. What I really like is the black and white DP looks just like the fencing in a lot of kids playgrounds and soft ball fields! Did you have that in mind?
