First, let me apologize to those of you who tried to access my blog earlier. We had big storms last night and my computer was affected. At any rate, the challenge today is to use Strawbwrry Slush, Pear Pizazz and basic Black. Sounds yummy doesn't it!
I chose to use the Flower Patch & the Bordering Blooms Stamp sets. I inked several flowers from Flower Patch with Strawberry Slush Ink & cut them out with the Flower Fair Framelits. A few Stampin' Dimensionals to create some dimension & my flower is almost finished. The center is created with a small image from the same set stamped in Memento Black Ink & cut with the matching Framelit. A Pear Pizazz Candy Dot adds a spot of color to the center of my flower.
The diagonal band across my card was stamped with an image from Bordering Blooms with Pear Pizazz Ink. The flap of the envelope gets the same treatment. In order for the diagonal border not to get overpowered by the vibrancy of the Strawberry Slush dsp from the All Abloom dsp pack, I used some Sweet Sadie Washi Tape to edge the border of the stamped vines.
A few Pear Pizazz leaves and the outside of my card is complete.
The inside of my card needed a bit of color too.
The Photopolymer Stamp Set Another Thank You provides the sentiments for both inside and outside my card, In addition, I used the small leftover strip of leftover dsp from the All Abloom dsp pack to tie the inside and front of my card together.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
Love, Love this card!! Your description reminder me of sherbert! The colors and design are beautiful! Good Job!
There you are! Beautifully done, Ginger! I love the asymmetrical layer of DSP in the background!
Very nice card. I like the use of Washington Tape. Super nice, cheerful card.
Gorgeous!
Fresh, fun and festive! I love this card and that envelope is so cute! I love the touch of the washi tape. I am so in love with the diagonal look too. I keep forgetting about that. Strawberries and pears – sounds good to me! The inside is pretty special too. I don’t make too many black cards because I never know how to spiffy up the white layer without getting too busy! Great job as always. Hope you didn’t have any storm damage. I saw on the news the flooding in Baltimore and Detroit I think. Unreal.
Love the way you used the Bordering Blooms and the washi tape! Beautiful card, Ginger!
Absolutely beautiful Ginger!
