A Ginger Snap! A Bravo Sneak Peek!

With all the fuss of the Holidays, I did not get a card off to my friend who had a very nice promotion at work.  Of course, I wanted to let hime know that I applaud his success.  Because it is a masculine card, I wanted it to be embellishment free yet still have some zing.  The new Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack is just what I need!

I love the look of stamped images on  patterned paper and this paper stck makes it so easy.  It has a definitely masculine look and the larger image stamp sets are really fun to use with this paper stack.  My stamp is from the Bravo Stamp Set.

Black c.s. combined with Isand Indigo c.s. provides a perfect frame for my patterned paper.  Of course, the sentiment stamped in Balck Memento Ink ties it all together.

Aii-in-all, a truly simple card that still has appeal.   I am happy with the way it turned out and I sure hope that my friend likes it.

A Ginger Snap! Wood You Be Mine Sneak Peek!

Normally I am not a big fan of whimsical stamp sets but there was someting about Wood You Be Mine that just spoke to me.  Besides being simply adorable, it has some great sentiments and you know how difficult that can be for masculine cards.

Rt 2

Isn't that lumberjack a hoot!  He is actually stamped in 2 steps.  First stamp him in Mmento Black Ink.  Then ink the shirt overlay in Real Red.  Stamp right over the previous image.  Because the stamp set is Photopolymer, it is super easy to line up the images.

The trees on the bottom of the card are done in a similar manner.

Flat

Isn't that background paper perfect for this image?  It is from the soon to be released Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack.  Talk about some grogeous masculine paper, this is it!  I can't wait to use more of this paper.

It's the small details that pull this card together.  Check out the small piece of Washi Tape up near his left shoulder.  Would you believe that it is actually from the Sweet Dreams Designer Washi Tape.  Yep, it is actually tape found in the baby section.  It is topped with a luscious Gold Basic Metal Button  tied with Baker's twine.

A small Wid Wasabi banner poking out from the bottom grounds my image.  This card is actually a sample in the Occassions Catalog.

Only a few more days before you can order from the new Occassions Mini Catalog.  Please remember that you will earn Sale-a-Bration items fro every $50 purchase before shipping & tax.

A Ginger Snap! Girls’ Night Out!

During the Holidays, I helped my daughter create invitaions for both a shower and a Girls' Night Out.  The events are a combined affair so she needed one invitation.  We chose to use a notecard size postcard which then would be mailed in an envelope.  The Girls' Night Out Stamp Set is just perfect for what we wanted.

Nat's colors are Bermuda Bay & Calypso Coral.  Stampin' Up! was spot on with a new bouquet that will soon be available.  Although Beth started putting the bouquet together, it is not finished.  However, it will be a stunning centerpiece that will become a permanent reminder for Nat.  I can share a picture of it with you.  Click on the link below.

It will be a gorgeous centerpiece!

It was sure fun to get to create with my daugter.  If only she lived closer ………
