Many of my family and friends have May birthdays so I have been busy creating birthday cards. Cheerful Critters is such a nice gender neutral set. And, it works for any age. The images are stamped with Black Staz On Ink & either paper-pieced (stamp on the dsp & cut out) or colored with the Stampin' Write markers.
I chose to cut the critters out & pop them up with Stampin' Dimensionals but you really could just stamp on the card. A piece of Daffodil delight card stock provides a base for my critters. And, a cute little banner stamped with a sentiment from the Cheerful Critters stamp set is stapled to the right edge of my card resting between the piece of Daffodil delight card stock & one of my critters.
The background around the critters is softened with a Soft Sky Blendability. And the sky is highlighted with some stars from the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers. In addition, an epoxy heart from the same collection adds some charm to the last sign.

My dear sister Margie recently had a birthday and this is the card I made for her. Margie adores pink and all things feminine so I wanted to make a card to match her preferences. Apothecary Art just seemed to fit the bill. The flower image is stamped with Memento Black Ink & colored with my Blendabilities. I just had to use them for Margie!
This set can be found as a bundle so no fussy cut! After I used the matching Apothecary Art Framelit to cut out the image I cut two more of the same size from Melon Mambo Cardstock to use as my backing pieces for the sentiment.
The image was stamped again with Melon Mambo Ink so that I could cut out the banner. The edges of the banner are curled with my bone folder and then the image is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Before attaching the main image, I embossed the Whisper White card base with the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of luscious Wild Wasabi striped paper from the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper adds a pop of color without being overbearing. A piece of Melon Mambo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon softens the edge between the dsp and the embossed image. A small piece is also tied onto a heart from the Basics Hodgepodge Clips (50% off now)
How could I resist some sweet Pearls for the flower centers and the bottom right of the card. I know that I am definitely going to miss the Apothecary Art stamp set & the Basics Hodgepodge Clips. I am finally breaking out my Cheerful Critters Stamp set. Can't believe that I haven't used it before.
This is just a fun whimsical set that makes me smile. This is headed to a dear friend who really does make me smile and I know that this card will make her smile!
The On Film Framelits are just perfect to frame this cutie patootie bear and add some interest to my card. These framelits are on the discontinued list so make sure you get them before they are gone forever.
