It's time for a new challenge from the PPA.
This is bright isn't it? But, let me show you the colors for the challenge
Looking at this color combo, I am totally thinking a bright & cheerful card. The front of my card is split between Daffodil Delight Cardstock that has been treated to the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder & a Daffodil delight Striped piece from the Sweet Taffy Paper Pack.
A sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts is stamped with Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink on the striped dsp. I love the sentiment "just because" and I love the font. The edge between the card stock & the dsp is covered with Daffodil delight 1/4" Cotton Ribbon ending with a small bow on the right.
The ribbon is decorated with butterflies punched from Sweet Taffy dsp & popped on 1" Whisper White Circles. The centers of the butterflies continue the color theme with matching Brights Candy Dots.
This was not the only card that I made for the challenge. My first card was done in Tempting Turquoise. However, it is a difficult color to photograph. But, I will share it with you. In reality, the card base has more green than is portrayed here.

Stippled Blossom creates perfect subtle flowers for my sympathy card today. The smaller flowers are stamped first with So Saffron & the detail is added with Daffodil Delight. The larger flower is stamped first with Crisp Cantaloupe & then with Calypso Coral.
The sentiment from Love & Sympathy is stamped with Early Espresso Ink. If you would like the Love & Sympathy stamp set and/or the Stippled Blossoms stamp set be sure to get them before they are gone as both sets are on the retiring list. Notice the delicate Pearl Basic Jewels adding a special touch to the center of the blooms.

Although I am a bit later posting today, I did want to wish all of you a Happy Mother's Day. This is not only for all you mothers out there but also for anyone who has made a difference in the life of a child.
The color combination of Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive & Whisper White is one of my favorites. It has the rich vibrant tones from Blackberry Bliss, a beautiful contrast from Old Olive, and the brightness from Whisper White.
A soft feminine touch is provided from the Venetian Lace Trim. The addition of an Old Olive Baker's Twine bow adds a nice touch to the top of one of the smaller pennants cut from the Party Pennants Bigz L Die. The pennant is stamped with a sentiment from a photopolymer stamp set named Lovely Amazing You. The heart at the bottom of the pennant is from the same stamp set.
If I had to pick just 1 item that I am really really sad to see retire, it would have to be this die. It has 4 pennants of varying sizes and it seems like I am always reaching for one of them.
Stamping the flowers from the Love & Sympathy stamp set with Blackberry Bliss & Old Olive Ink on a larger pennant cut rom the Party Pennant Die repeats the pennant pattern created with the sentiment banner. It is attached to Blackberry Bliss card stock which is attached to an Old Olive layer.
I did not take a picture of the inside of the card but I stamped the sentiment "love you more than chocolate" from Lovely Amazing You. Any of you who know me know how much I love chocolate! So, you would not be surprised to hear that this card is for my daughter who is a lovely and amazing mother!
