It's time for a new challenge from the PPA.
This is bright isn't it? But, let me show you the colors for the challenge
Looking at this color combo, I am totally thinking a bright & cheerful card. The front of my card is split between Daffodil Delight Cardstock that has been treated to the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder & a Daffodil delight Striped piece from the Sweet Taffy Paper Pack.
A sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts is stamped with Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink on the striped dsp. I love the sentiment "just because" and I love the font. The edge between the card stock & the dsp is covered with Daffodil delight 1/4" Cotton Ribbon ending with a small bow on the right.
The ribbon is decorated with butterflies punched from Sweet Taffy dsp & popped on 1" Whisper White Circles. The centers of the butterflies continue the color theme with matching Brights Candy Dots.
This was not the only card that I made for the challenge. My first card was done in Tempting Turquoise. However, it is a difficult color to photograph. But, I will share it with you. In reality, the card base has more green than is portrayed here.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
I absolutely love the card in yellow. After all the snow I have had this spring, this card really makes me smile.
Thank you so much for showing it to me.
Wow, double delight! Love both cards but I think the yellow is my favorite because of the textured EF you used and that paper’s stripes! It really caught my eye. But, the Tempting Turquoise is just toned down a bit – more clean and simple. Both cards with the butterflies are so fun the way you punched them out – looks almost lacey on the one and the top card’s yellow butterfly is whimsical with the stripes going the opposite way! I like the candy dots and the rhinestones. Double fun treat for us!
Ging – You out did yourself!! Both cards are wonderful and makes me want to break out into a spring song!! I do think between both cards, the yellow one brings more of spring! I do love the blue one as well!
Perfection! The yellow card just screams “happiness” – what a great way to start my day. Stamp on!
I like both cards, but my favorite is the yellow. It’s so cheerful. I love all three of the colors together.
I also like both cards but the yellow one stole my eye right away. I like the technique you used with the slightly slanted paper that the butterflies rest on in the yellow based card. I love how the butterflies are punched out. These are real winners!
Both cards are delightful, but like everyone else the yellow one is bright & cheery, so I really love that one! The dsp & how you used it is so clever! Awesome job!
Even today, I like these cards. It is raining here and both cards give a joy of sun and brightness!
Super cute Ginger!
