A Ginger Snap! The Verdict Is In!

Happy Father's Day to everyone!  I wanted to write a quick post before we hit the highway in order to spend the day with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons.

Usually I find a number of stamps sets that I really like in a new catalog.  But rarely do I find my favorite so early in the year.  However, Timeless Talk has totally won the top spot for me.

My criteria for selecting Timeless Talk as my #1 go to stamp set is because it is  so appealing.  I love those clean line images.  And, it is trendy. Vintage – yet modern, if that makes sense.  Finally, this set can be used in many different ways.  It is like the "little black dress" in your wardrobe.  The sentiments cover a lot of territory too.

Using the Note Cards & Envelopes, I simply stamped the image in Island Indigo and dressed the wheel centers of the bike up with the new Candy Dots.  These are another must have!

For me, Crushed Curry is not an ink that I normally would use for the entire image, but it works on this set.  Did I say how much I love Timeless Talk?

I knew that I wanted to line the outside flap of my envelope.  Unfortunately, I do not own the Regals DSP Stack yet – it  is on my wish list.  So, I just used some of the matching cardstock.  However, I personally feel that the envelope would be way cuter if it was lined with some print paper.

Although this time I used the notecard, this set can go the distance too with a full size card.  I have a few of those samples to share with you later in the week.  In the meantime, if you need this stamp set, and you know that I think everyone needs it, then please clik on the shop now button at the top of the page.

A inger Snap! Blast Off!

Being a Grandma is about one of the best things ever!  And, having the opportunity to celebrate a birthday with one of my Grandsons is pretty exciting.  Conor turns 7 on Monday.  When I was deciding what type of card to make for him, I didn't have to do much searching for a stamp set.  Conor loves transformers, robots and superheroes.  So, I decided to make him and his little brother the center of the universe!

Conor is one of the sweetest little boys ever.  He is very attuned to people and their feelings.  Unlike many boys that age, Conor is still willing to give Grandma & Papa a big welcome hug when we make the 3-hour drive to their house.

Hopefully this card will make a big hit with both boys.  I am sure that Carson will like the idea of going to space with his big brother.  He is definitely the adventurous one!
