It's another Timeless Talk card day. This time I am featuring the bicycle from the set. Thank you Stampin' Up! for giving us this set. Love it!!

The Quatrefancy Speciality DSP offers so many bright & cheerful choices. I like the "nautical " look provided by the combo of Island Indigo, Pool Party & Calypso Coral so I chose an Island Indigo pattern from the dsp.

In my first attempt, I stamped the bike image full strength, then moved across the card without reinking. But, the card seemed off balance so I stamped full strength in the middle and then stamped the image again on the left & right, without reinking. Allthough I could have kept the white space, I decided to add the dsp with just a 1/4" border on top. After adding the banners, it seemd like they needed more definition so I added thin strips of dsp to the top of the calypso coral banner & the bottom of the pool party banner.

But then my bicycles seemed to be floating. I did not have much space underneath them but I needed something. Enter the Needlepoint Border. It provided the grounding I was looking for plus an added bonus of texture. But then it became apparent that I needed a balance for the Calypso Coral banner. I used the circle from Itty Bitty Punch Pack to punch some spoke covers out of calypso coral c.s. In order to assure that my sentiment was straight, i used my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig. I sure seem to use this a lot! Does this mean that I have a crooked eye? Rhinestones added the final touch. But looking at it now, I think that my wheel covers need a rhiestone center. I will be right back…..
That's better I think. How about you? STAMPIN' UP! Today I wanted to share the wonderful card that my daughter Beth, also a member of my downline, made for Father's Day. My husband was sooo happy when he opened it because not only is it a beautiful card, but it also contains a talking tag. We love every opportunity that we can get to hear from the Grandchildren.

I really should have taken a picture of Papa when he was listening to the message on the tag. His face lighted up and he played the message a number of times before the card was place on top of the television – the place of honor for cards received in our house!

1. The color palette is perfect for a masculine card.
2. A Hung Up Cute Clip helps to highlight the word "papa".
3. Stamping the "P" on a piece of colored cardstock punched out with the Artisan Label draws your eye immediately to the title.
4. The banners in different lengths and widths tie the card together – even the clip could be considered a banner.
5. The mini silver brads used on the sentiment balance the metal of the arrow clip.
6. The Chevron Embossing Folder adds texture while retaining the masculine flavor of the card.
7. The lined crumb cake envelope ties right back to the card.

After seeing this card, I am anxious to get my alphabet stamps out. Think of all the "word" possibilities!
Please leave a comment for Beth to let her know what you think of her card. Thanks for stopping by my blog today and thanks to Beth for sharing her card with us!

Time for another Timeless Talk card. This one is a full size – 5-1/2" x 8-1-2". The Apothecary Accent provides a nice frame for the old style telephone from Timeless Talk. And, with the new Magnetic Plate, I could position the framelit exactly where I wanted it without fretting about it slipping. The image is cut from the black layer.

The Needlepoint Border Designer Frame adds some texture and also draws attention to the telephone. These frames are so nice to use. Because they are narrower than the full-size embossing folder, it is possible to move them where you want the embossing – perfect for this card because I wanted the embossing close to the stamped image. I embossed the white card front prior to adding the black layer.

After I put the card together, I decided that I wanted to apply some piercing from the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack. Although it worked just fine, I do wish that I had pierced first. Finally, I decided to use the black apothecary accent leftover from the card front for my sentiment on the inside of the card. Continuing with the black/white theme, I stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and heat embossed with the white embossing powder.

The Itty Bitty Punches Pack provided the flower for a touch of color. Although the flower on the left looks wonky, it is just the photo. A daffodil delight candy dot adorns the center of the telephone.
