In my post for today, I am using 2 brand new Stampin' Up! products – Thinlits Circle Card & Envelope Punch Board. In addition, I have some detailed steps to show you, using the Envelope Punch Board.

These thinlits are soooo easy to use and they make it easy to create a flashy card. The Best of 25 Years Halloween Set was still on my table from yesterday and I wanted to make a card with the haunted house, so, opportunity knocked!

The scalloped circle that the house is stamped on comes with the Thinlits Circle Card. I mounted that on a 2-1/2" circle punched from Pumpkin Pie c.s..
The designer paper is from the Witches' Brew dsp pack. Look closely and you will see a scalloped border punched in Silver Glimmer Paper. Rhinestone Basic Jewels adorn the scallops on the Summer Starfruit Scallop Circle.

I made a matching envelope using the new Envelope Punch Board.
The Punch Board is really easy to use. Let me show you the process used to create my envelope.
1. Look on the board to find the size of your card. Right next to it is the size of the paper that you need. And, right next to that is the score measurement.
Because I amade a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card, the board told me to cut an 8" x8" piece of paper. And, score it at 3-1/2".

2. Notice that the left edge of my paper is at the 3-1/2" mark. Push the button at the top. This makes the v-cut so the envelope will fold easily. Using the scoring tool provided, put it in the grrove at the top, and draw it toward the lower right.
3. Rotate the paper counterclockwise 90 degrees. Line the score line up with the piece that protrudes from the bottom of the button. If you look very carefully near that piece that stciks out, you will see my score line.

4. Press the button at the top of the board and score again. Rotate the paper counterclockwise 90 degrees. Repeat! Fold along the score lines.
Take a close look to see that score line lined up with the "pointer finger".

Here's a picture of what the paper looks like after you have finished punching & scoring.

5. If you would like the flap of the envelope to have a rounded tip, then insert the flap on the top side of the button as shown in the picture below. Press the button to round your corner.

The following pic shows the rounded corner on the flap.

6. Use whatever adhesive you choose to seal the edges of the envelope and you are finished! Oops, I guess you need to address it and mail it!

Woohoo! Have you heard the news? Stampin' Up! announced that their new Envelope Punch Board is available to customers. I got mine a short time ago and had time to play with it today. I am very happy with it and I believe that you will be too. Following is a picture of it along with some information.

- It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
- It's super easy to use; it will go over as a huge wow when you use it and see it in action. It looks intimidating at first glance, but when you see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there you just turn and score you'll go crazy (in a good way).
- It's small and lightweight; this makes it easy for you to take it to your events. It's also super portable and easy to store. It's small and light enough that you could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.
- It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
- It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).
- The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much!
- It will be in next year's annual catalog, so it's here to stay.
And, it is only $19.95! At last, we can make envelopes for those cards that are not standard size. You can make the card & envelope to suit your needs. If you are anxious to get yours, click on the shop now button to go to my online store.
Tomorrow I will post an envelope that I made using the Envelope Punch Board for a Circle Label Thinlit card. So, be sure to check back tomorrow to see it.

Are you wondering what in the world the title of this post means? Because I have the witches' hat on the card but no feet, it made me think of a popular saying when I was a child. Do you have any Halloween sayings that have stuck with you?
Have you seen the Best of halloween Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! yet? It is the cutest set! Honestly, I can't pick a favorite image from this set. I like that the stamps are not uber scary. Pairing Witches' Brew Designer Paper with this stamp set creates lots of possibilities. Check out what I created for you today.
After stamping the Witches' Hat with Black Staz On Ink, I cut it out with the Chalk Talk Framelits. I fussy cut a slightly larger tag out of Summer Starfruit c.s. in order to have a little pop of color and to pull the Summer Starfruit out of the stripe paper. Of course, the hat needed some Rhinestone bling.

Trick or Treat came from the Tags 4 You set. After stamping it in Black Staz On Ink, I punched it out with the the Label Bracket Punch. Don't you love the punches from Stampin' Up! that match a stamp set? I sure do! In order to provide a bit of contrast for this piece, I fussy cut a black label for it. Add another Rhinestone so that the one on the hat isn't lonely, and together they create my focal image.

Adding some Pumpkin Pie Candy Dots under the strip of striped paper, adds some balance to my card and they form a triangle with the spiders that are crawling up the paper. This will be a fun card to send to someone for Halloween.
