A Ginger Snap! Thoughtful Branches Sympathy Card!

I needed several sympathy cards last week and this is one of them that I created.

Using the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set, I inked several of the stamps with Versa Mark & sprinkled the images with White Embossing Powder prior to heating it with the Heating Tool.

Sponging both the sentiment & the trees with a Stampin' Sponge & Pool Party Ink gives my card the softness I was hoping to achieve. The "ground" image is sponged with Crumb Cake Ink.  The bird is stamped with Crumb Cake Ink & cut out with the matching Framelits.

The stamped piece is mounted on a Pool Party C.S. Mat.  In addition, the banner sentiment is highlighted with a strategically placed  Pool Party Banner.

A Ginger Snap! It’s All About The Trees!

Totally Trees is a fun new stamp set in the Stampin' Up! 2016 Holiday Catalog.  It has an edgy modern feel that I just couldn't resist.

It seems that lately I have been putting a lot of my card stock at angles & so it continues with this card.  My card base is Early Espresso Cardstock which is layered with Delightful Dijon Cardstock & finally the Very Vanilla stamped layer.

Using a stamp from the Totally Trees Stamp Set, I inked it in Cajun Craze, followed by Delightful Dijon & finally Bermuda Bay Ink. Each time I stamped off prior to stamping on the Very Vanilla layer.  The splotches of color are topped with the tree stamp from the Totally trees Set which has been inked in Cajun Craze Ink.

A strip of copper dotted Washi Tape from Affectionately Yours Designer wash Tape is laid above 2 of the trees & across from the top tree.  Popped on top of the Washi Tape is a Bermuda Bay Banner that is embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from Confetti celebration.

Finally a length of Linen Thread is wrapped around the middle of my card & tied in a bow.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Remember that if you have any questions about my card, I am only an email away & I truly enjoy chatting with my blog readers.

A Ginger Snap! Spooky Fun!

Halloween is right around the corner & the stamp set Spooky Fun paired with the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies makes it possible to create a nice variety of Halloween cards.

Tree Scene left

The star of my card is the spooky tree created with the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies & Basic Gray Cardstock.  The tree is so easy to cut out when used with the Precision Base Plate & the new Big Shot Platform.  After cutting the tree, the Die Brush makes it easy to remove from the card stock.

Tree Scene rt

The tombstones & the ghosts from Spooky Fun are stamped with Basic Gray Archival Ink.  The card stock used for the tombstones is Sahara Sand.  The bats are stamped with Memento Black Ink.

A length of Halloween Night Basic Black/Basic Gray Baker's Twine is wrapped around my card and tied in a bow.  The sentiment from the stamp set Spooky Fun is stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.
