Today I am very pleased to share with you a card made by my 6-year old Granddaughter Katie. The amazing part is that she created this totally on her own with no help from her Mom.
Katie was invited to a birthday party today and like any good crafter, decided that she wanted to make a birthday card for her friend. She chose her stamp set and color palette plus used markers to ink up the stamp. And, what young girl can resist a row of rhinestone bling!

A decorated envelope just adds fun to any card and have you noticed how kids just seem to know that without being told. Katie really took it to the next level by drawing a picture of her friend. What a clever way to draw a face using a heart and of course Rhinestones for eyes. My favorite part though is the crown!

The proud artist holding her masterpiece! Thanks Katie for sharing your creation on my blog today!

May 11, 2014 | Mother's Day |
Happy Mother's Day to all of you! In honor of the day, I made a card bouquet with a lattice full of flowers.

The Hello Honey card base is standard size. It is covered with Hardwood stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock that is punched with the Chevron Punch. Three of the lattice pieces are lined up side-by-side to create the full lattice.

The Petite Petals Stamp Set was inked with a variety of bright ink colors and stamped on Whisper White cardstock. The Petite Petals Punch got a workout punching out all of the stamped flowers. These were attached to the lattice with glue dots. In addition, random flowers sport a Bright Candy Dot center.

Interspersed amongst the flowers are Garden Green Leaves punched with the Bird Builder Punch. Here's to a wonderful and relaxing Mother's Day for each and everyone of you.

In This Together is a classic and fun Chic stamp set that I am having a grand time using. I promised 2 more posts with this set and this is 1 of them.

Lots of new product was used in the creation of this card. In addition to the stamp set In This Together, I used 2 new In Color Cardstock – Hello Honey & Lost Lagoon.

The new product doesn't end there. The spunky stripe dsp behind the stamped image is from the new Moonlight dsp stack. It has lots of luscious In Color designs. The ribbon is the new 3/8" Stitched Satin Mossy Meadow. Were you as distraught as I was when the Itty Bitty Punch Pack was discontinued? Honestly, I did not know what I could use to replace those sweet punches. Fortunatley, Stampin' Up! did not leave us hanging. The new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack fits the bill. I used one of the punches from this set to create the sweet accent flower.

You know the saying "Diamonds are a girl's best friend". A bit of bling adds the finishing touches to my card.
