A Ginger Snap! In This Together With Blendabilities!

Have you ever had a near perfect day of creating?  I think that I just about did yesterday.  The upcoming new Stampin' Up! catalog has an adorable stamp set called In This Together.  It is tailor made for the Blendabilities – the alcohol markers that will soon be available.  I made cards using all three images which I will post over the next few days.

The image was stamped with Memento Ink & colored with the Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler,  & Skin Tone Assortment Blendabilities Markers.  Talk about easy to use!  I can hardly wait for you to get your hands on them and to start practicing the technique.  After coloring the image, it was punched with the Angled Tag Topper Punch.

The Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack provides the perfect accompaniment for the look I was after with this stamp set.  The 3/8" Stitched Satin Lost Lagoon Ribbon matches perfectly.  And, it is so easy to tie!  I think you will adore it as much as I do.

My card base is a standard size Basic Gray card.  The heart accents were created by using the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack with Basic Gray Cardstock.

This was a totally fun card to make and I can honestly tell you that I am pleased with how it came together.  Because most of the products used for this card are in the sneak peek category, I cannot post pictures of the actual product.  But, if you have your catalog, then you can check them out.

Speaking of catalogs, if you would like to receive one free, just email me to find out how you can get yours.  As always, if you have a Demonstrator, then please talk to them about a catalog.

A Ginger Snap! PPA 203 Color Challenge!

It's time for another color challenge for the Pals Paper Arts (PPA).

PPA203 – May 8, 2014

In my view, the colors are very appropriate for a masculine card and because I need some graduation cards, I decided to create one for this challenge.

Giggle Greetings tickled me from the first time that I saw it in the catalog so I was delighted to have the opportunity to ink it up for this challenge.  Because the color pallette is fairly basic, I wanted to add texture to my card .  Keeping with the masculine tone, I chose the Argyle Texture Embossing Folder for the card background and for the Very Vanilla Banner. The Cajun Craze Banners were embossed with the Chevron Texture Impressions Embossing Folder.

The triangle designer paper pieces are from the Etcetera Designer Paper Pack.  They are Night of Navy & Very Vanilla which fits perfectly for this challenge.  The sentiment was inked with the Cajun Craze  & Night of Navy Markers and then stamped on Very Vanilla. Circle Framelits made quick work of cutting this out as well as the Cajun Craze Mat.PPA 203 flat

The "good luck" circle can be found in A Fitting Occasion stamp set.  It was colored with the Night of Navy Marker and stamped on a Starburst  Essentials Wooden Element.  The "horseshoe" is from the same stamp set.  After coloring it with the Cajun Craze Marker, I also stamped it on the Starburst.    Several wraps of Linen Thread tied in a bow add the finishing touches.

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:

A Ginger Snap! Blended Bloom Sneak Peek!

Did you hear me shouting with glee yesterday?  Thankfully, my UPS guy arrived at 9:40 a.m. and even carried my box of goodies into the house for me.  After tearing into the box, I immediately got to work because I only had 2 hours to create.  I felt pressure because I would not be back home until about 10:00 p.m.

This card actually is giving you peeks at 4 new products.  Can you find all of them?  I'll list them for you.

1. new stamp – Blended Bloom

2. Colored with the new Blendabilities

3. The dsp mat is from the new Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

4.  The ribbon is 3/8" Stitched Satin Hello Honey

I can hardly wait for you to be able to order the new Blendabilities.  Just remember that because they are alcohol based markers, stamp your image in a water based ink like Memento Black Ink.  The reason – your image will bleed if you use an alcohol based ink like Staz On.

More good news.  Just use Whisper White cardstock.  It works perfectly and you can go over the color as much as you need in order to blend the colors.

When coloring, use small circular strokes because it allows you to pull the color as you go.  When I am allowed. I will post a video showing the technique.

I hope you have enjoyed this peek.  You know that I will be posting more throughout the week so be sure to stop back!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  As always, your comments are important to me.  I read each and every one and I look forward to them.  If you have time, please consider leaving a comment.

Hugs,
