It's time for another color challenge for the Pals Paper Arts (PPA).
PPA203 – May 8, 2014
In my view, the colors are very appropriate for a masculine card and because I need some graduation cards, I decided to create one for this challenge.
Giggle Greetings tickled me from the first time that I saw it in the catalog so I was delighted to have the opportunity to ink it up for this challenge. Because the color pallette is fairly basic, I wanted to add texture to my card . Keeping with the masculine tone, I chose the Argyle Texture Embossing Folder for the card background and for the Very Vanilla Banner. The Cajun Craze Banners were embossed with the Chevron Texture Impressions Embossing Folder.
The triangle designer paper pieces are from the Etcetera Designer Paper Pack. They are Night of Navy & Very Vanilla which fits perfectly for this challenge. The sentiment was inked with the Cajun Craze & Night of Navy Markers and then stamped on Very Vanilla. Circle Framelits made quick work of cutting this out as well as the Cajun Craze Mat.
The "good luck" circle can be found in A Fitting Occasion stamp set. It was colored with the Night of Navy Marker and stamped on a Starburst Essentials Wooden Element. The "horseshoe" is from the same stamp set. After coloring it with the Cajun Craze Marker, I also stamped it on the Starburst. Several wraps of Linen Thread tied in a bow add the finishing touches.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
I like this card, the colors go well together. I also like the stamp set you chose, makes me laugh. I like the way you laid it out. Is there anything I missed, I like the whole card. Job well done!
Nice card! I love the colors and the design! Good Job!
Just adorable Ginger!! Love it!!
So cute!!!!!
Love the angle and the texture in this card, Ginger! And the adorable little dog just adds such a touch of whimsy…great card!
Grrrreat card, not that this little fellow would grrrrr at us let alone bite! I guess maybe it could be a girl too. Anyway, it made me smile! Reminds me of the Man of La Mancha – The Impossible Dream! The little basset hound we played with last weekend decided at one point to chase it’s tail too. I just couldn’t decide if he was the right one for us or not. Back to the card, love the texture of the argyle EB folder it goes so well with the chevrons. I really like how you used the embossed plain color in the middle like that! I gotta try that sometime. The little banners in the corner are fun as well as the good luck using the starburst wooden shape. Since I seem to be into the googly eye mood, I wonder how they would look on this dog?
Oh google eyes would be fun on this card! Sounds like you have a difficult decision with which dog to pick. Hope it goes well picking one . Thanks for the kind comments about my card. It was a lot of fun to create. Hope your day was good.
