A Ginger Snap! Hedgehogs with a Smile!

I don't think it is possible to look at the stamp set A Little Smile without smiling!  We can all use a smile now and then so this stamp set was on my "must Have" list.

After coloring the image, I popped it up and put a few strips of Beach House washi Tape at a jaunty angle.  The Moonlight dsp Stack provides a perfect backdrop for the adorable hedgehogs.

I'm still smiling, how about you?

A Ginger Snap! A Freshly Made Challenge!

When I saw the sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches 141, I immediately thought of the Koala hanging on a pole.  It didn't work exactly as I envisioned but it was fun to create.

The sketch dictated the panels and rather than go with a quilt theme, I decided to use the Hardwood Stamp hoping to make it look like bamboo.  The idea was good, but it isn't bamboo!.  The panels were defined by thin strips of Early Espresso cardstock.  I stamped the Kind Koala stamp  with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored it with the Blendabilities and fussy cut it. Check out his shiny nose!  I applied Crystal Effects in order to give it a shiny & wet look.

Notice the Linen Thread tied in a bow around the Koala's neck.  In addition, I tied the Tangerine Tango button with the same thread and wrapped a bit around my Wooden Essentials Element.  To add some more color, I adhered a Tangerine Tango Candy Dot to the center of the flower.  The sentiment from Honeycomb Hello is stamped on the Essentials Wooden Element with Tangerine Tango Ink.
