Good morning blog readers. I am a bit late posting today but I think you will enjoy this post. Making flowers can be tedious but the video that I am sharing shows you how to make a fun flower in a variety of sizes. What a terrific way to decorate a package!

The Corner Garden stamp set was stamped in Versamark, sprinkled with Whisper White Enbossing Powder, and then set with the Heat Tool. After embossing, I used my Aqua Painter with Calypso Coral & Pistachio Pudding Reinker.

Because I was using a fair amount of water, I used Watercolor Paper. After washing the color on the card, I used a Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin' Write Marker to highlight some areas of the stamped image. The leaves were also colored with a Pistachio Pudding Marker.

Pistachio Pudding Thick Baker's Twine is wrapped around the bottom and tied in a bow in order to anchor my image. Some 2013-2015 In Color Sequins are sprinkled about to add a touch of bling.

I like sketch challenges because they give me somewhere to start. With the sketch in hand, I look through my catalog to find images that I believe fit the sketch.

And, here is the sketch.

The big circle in the sketch reminded me of a sun. With that in mind, I though of the rain boots in Bootiful Occassions. Now, I needed some paper for the background. Becuase I sorta had a rain theme going, I selected this piece from the Moonlight dsp stack because it resembled rain – okay, maybe a modern rain with the triangles.

My color pallette is based on the colors in the background paper - Lost Lagoon and Basic Gray. I wanted a bright sun so I used Daffodil Delight rather than Hello Honey.
The sentiment is from Bootiful Occassions. I stamped it then punched it out with the Modern Label Punch.
