A Ginger Snap! Celebrate!

After a short break for the Holiday, I am back to posting.  Honestly, it felt good to create again.  My stamp set of choice for the post today is Endless Wishes.

Rt Bermuda Bay

This is a simple card to create – especially necause the stamp set is Photopolymer.  This means that the stamp is clear and I can see exactly where I am stamping.  No need for a stamp-a-ma-jig!

  • Consulting the Color Coach for ideas of what goes with Bermuda Bay turned up the combo of Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, & Daffodil Delight.  Perfect for a fun birthday card don't you think?
  • Party Pennants Bigz L Die provided a fun tag to stamp my Endless Wishes Sentiment on.  I like this die because the tags are larger than most.  A few wraps around the top of the tag with the new Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine adds a fun touch.  And, what would a birthday celebration be without some bling!  A row of Rhinestones dresses up the bottom of the tag.
  • The tag is placed on a piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock that was embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I am really partial to this embossing folder.  When I fisrst spotted it in the catalog, I knew that it was one that I would get with my first order.

  • A decorated envelope is just the ticket to let the recipient know that something special is inside! The Brights Designer Paper Stack was the perfect choice to decorate the flap of the envelope.  Although it looks dark in the picture, it is actually an exact match to the  the card.

A Ginger Snap! Kick Up Your Heels!

It has been an incredibly busy week with company.  Entertaining 4 little ones takes some ingenuity and stamina!  Thankfully, my daughter Beth and son-in-law Jason are here to help.  That is the reason for my spotty posts but I will be back on schedule later this week.

In the meantime, check out this cute card that Beth and I cased from the catalog.  We made a few modifications but the idea is the same.

The boot from Bootiful Occassions was stamped on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock and cut out so it could be popped up with Dimensionals.  My card base is Soft Sky c.s. with  a slightly smaller layer of the same cardstock that was run through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

The sentiment below the boot is a combination of sentiments from Bootiful Occassions.  Blackberry Bliss Marker & Melon Mambo Marker provided the color. The birthday greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and it was colored with the Blackberry Bliss Marker.  It was stamped and banner cut for a sassy look.  To highlight that sentiment we cut a narrower banner from Melon Mambo cardstock and placed it just beneath the happy birthday. A few stars and Baker's Twine add the finishing touches.

A Ginger Snap! Sweetbriar Rose!

I wanted to share a quick card with you today.  I have lots of company so my house is a bit crazy!  And, that is why my post is late.

Did I tell you that I love the Blendabilities.  I used the Daffodil Delight setfor the flower and the  Old Olive set for the leaves after the imagewas stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

A combination of yellow and black has always been a favorite of mine and this card is no exception.  Handcutting a few banners reinforces the color combo.

Are you wondering where the yellow Rhinestones came from?  Blendabilities are perfect for coloring either Rhinestones or Pearls or even glass or ceramic.

The sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts is stamped on the dsp from Flashbck.

On a final note, thanks to each and everyone of you, I will be taking my husband to Washington D.C.!  Wahoo!!  Thank you for allowing me to be your Demonstartor and for supporting me this past year.  You are the best!
