Part of getting ready for Convention involves creating thank you cards for my various levels of Uplines. My immediate Upline is Mary Fish and I wanted a special card to give her at Convention.
Although my pinwheel looks complicated, it is really quite simple to make. When I return from Convention, I will do a pictoral tutorial for you.
With the current dsp special of buy 3 and get 1 free, this is a perfect opportunity to try out this technique. My paper choice today is Flowerpot. After selecting 2 different patterns, and cutting them to the right size, I layered them to get the pinwheel affect.
The center of the pinwheel was decorated with a flower created with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch & Night of Navy Cardstock. A Candy Dot Base with a Crushed Curry Candy Dot completes my flower.
The sentiment from Fabulous Four is inked with Lost Lagoon Ink. The final touch is a few wraps of the new Crushed Curry Baker's Twine tied through a Crushed Curry Button and finished in a bow.
My card is a standard size (4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2") Tangerine Tango. The pinwheel is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I Love the pinwheel card!! It is fun and inventive!! Good job – Mary Fish will love it!
Totally love the card and I am sure Mary will love it too! I am not sure if I have made one of those – seems like I did one for Ann once but not sure. Love yours with the bright colors and all. That button looks like one of those hard butterscotch candies! Love how the matching baker’s twine looks with it. Sometimes the color on the twine gets lost but it seems to be enhanced with the button maybe! Of course the center of the pinwheel is pretty cool too. I gotta check out that sentiment set again. Have a great time!
