It's time to play with the Pals Paper Arts.  Nicole Watt created a very user friendly sketch for us this week.  Are you thinking of ways to use ths sketch?  Give it a try and join the challenge this week.

I am having a ball using the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper.  These colors really speak to me so it is no surprise that I am using it for my card today.

As you can see, I chose to use Hexagons rather than Circles.  The Very Vanilla layer started the party by being embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  The Hexagon Punch helped the Tangerine Tango c.s. join the "Hexagon fun".  The punch was also used to invite the Retro Fresh dsp to the party.

Although it is difficult to see, the Tangerine Tango c.s. layer is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  A touch of So Saffron c.s. was zipped through the Big Shot on the back of the Tasteful Trim Die to get the trendy zig zag pattern used to highlight the Tangerine Tango layer.

In order to "dress up" the middle hexaagon, I punched the center of it with a 3/4" Circle punch". Of course, I couldn't leave it with a hole so I inserted a Banner with the stamped sentiment.  When I first saw the Says It All stamp set in the Occassions catalog, I really did not intend to purchase it.  However, as so often happens, I was WRONG!  I know – imagine that!  This little set is a keeper.  I love the arrows included in this set.  It really allows you to dress up a sentiment.  The Hexagon Punch created the flag end on my banner.  Add a Bright Candy Dot  after curling my banner and my card is ready!  All I need is a matching envelope.
