A Ginger Snap! Sneak Peek – From the Herd!

When I first spotted the stamp set From the Herd, I knew the first card I would make with it.  It's for my friend Eletha who remains in the Intensive care Unit in Seattle.

This is such a fun set with many sentiments to choose from.  The inside of the card says "from the herd".  I thought that was appropriate because Eletha is a member of our fabulous Stamp Club that meets monthly.  The animals are purposely colored a little wacky with the hope that it will bring a smile to her face.

Blendabilities were used to color the animals while a blender pen with some ink pads provide the background color.  The panel with the animals is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped on the card with Memento Black Ink.

You can bet that I will be using this stamp set again.  The name of it is From the Herd and it will be available January 6th.

A Ginger Snap! Sneak Peek – Best Day Ever!

The card today is created for my friend Eletha when she gets released from Intensive Care to the General Floor.  The sentiment is perfect.  And, you can earn this set free because it is a Sale-a-Bration choice.

This is a simple card but one that conveys happiness.  The colors are bright and cheery and the sentimnt says just what I will want to say.  It is stamped with the new Rose Coral Chalk Ink Pad.  This ink is so easy to use and it produces such a nice image.  As you can see, it does not have to be stamped on the new Chalkboard Paper.

The flower is also from the set Best Day Ever. I stamped it twice with Daffodil Delight Ink, fussy cut the images and off set them for a fun adornment.  A bit of bling adds some fun to the center of my flower.  Some Baker's Twine adds some interest to the tag.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  More sneak peeks are coming so be sure to check back.

A Ginger Snap! A Lotus Blossom For My Friend!

I don't know where to start this post.  Let me just say that my very dear friend is fighting for her life in the ICU of a Seattle Hospital after being lifeflighted there shortly after Thanksgiving.  Thankfully she was put on the general floor a few days ago.  Unfortunately, that was short lived.  Last night her feeding tube clogged and they are afraid that her lungs may be compromised.  She is back in ICU.

Last night, I spent some time creating cards for her. My plan was to send her as many as I could.  While she is in ICU, she can not receive cards but I will have a stockpile for her when they give the green light.  Obviously, I kept them simple.

Unfortunately, it is rather dark here because of storms so my pictures are not the best.  Normally I would work at getting better light, angles etc.

The Lotus Blossom Stamp Set from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog, is my stamp of choice.  This is a beautiful multi-step stamp set that you can earn for free.  I chose to keep my card simple so I can mail it and because the flower is just so beautiful.  My cardbase is Whisper White Cardstock  topped by a layer of Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.  The Gold Foil Vellum adds a touch of elegance.

A simple White Heart from the Basics Hodgepodge Clips is to remind her that she is in my heart.  A simple strand of Whisper White Baker's Twine is tied into a bow on the left side of my card.

If you are able, I would so appreciate any thoughts and prayers that you might be able to give to my friend Eletha.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hugs,

Ginger
