A Ginger Snap! Happy Birthday Hubby!

Today I am giving a special shout out to my wonderful husband Bob on his birthday.  Bob loves the outdoors so of course I just had to use the new stamp set called The Wilderness Awaits.

My card base is Tip Top Taupe (4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2) and it is embossed with the Brick Wall textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

A partial circle was cut from Basic Black Cardstock with a Circle Framelit,  It is embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder which I know is difficult to see.

The stamped image from The Wilderness awaits is inked with Tip Top Taupe.  The background splatter is courtesy of Gorgeous Grunge.  A simple Garden Green Cardstock mat provides a touch of color.

The masculine banner is from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack and the end is flagged with the Banner Triple Punch.

An occasion such as this deserves an extra special sentiment so I chose the "celebrate" from the Expressions Natural Elements.  This added the perfect outdoor touch to my card.

Hugs,

A Ginger Snap! Sweet Baby Shower Card!

Cassidy rt

I needed a card for a baby shower that I attended yesterday.  The baby is a girl so I wanted my card to reflect her gender.  The combination of Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper and the stamp set Made with Love were just what I needed to make a sweet gift card to welcome this new little one to the world.

Of course, I needed a matching envelope and fortunately the Envelope Punch Board was up to the task.  Don't you love creating the envelopes to match your card – it just completes the look.

Because I was putting money in my card, I wanted a sentiment that would be just right..  Have you checked out the stamp set B.Y.O.P.? It is ideal for any gift cards that you might be creating or if you are gifting money.

The best part – Cassidy loved my card.  It was definitely worth the effort.

A few days ago I posted some birthday cards using a card that I had cased.  Unfortunately, I couldn't remember where I saw it.  Thank you to Lynne Phelps for helping me out.  She kindly emailed that the card I cased was created by Mary Brown of StamperCamper.  See her post here.

A Ginger Snap A Trio of Simple Cards!

It's been too long since I posted but thankfully I had some time yesterday to create.

I cased this design but unfortunately I did it from memory and do not have the name of the original creator.  If you know who I need to give credit to, please email me.

This is a super simple design that works so well with any large sentiment stamp.  Because this is a birthday card for my son-in-law I kept it vey simple.  He is not a bling kind of guy.

The 2 criss crossed strips behind the sentiment panel are from the new Envelope Paper.  These are Delightful Dijon - reminds me of gold.  I may go back and include a few gold metallic sequins just for fun.

The Project Life Corner Rounder was used to round just the two lower right hand corners.  It adds some interest to the card.

Here's a different version.

Happy Birthday rt

I used Cherry On Top Washi Tape for the criss cross pieces.  It is a fun and quick way to add a pop of color.  As long as I had "dots" from the tape, I decided to use the Dotty Angles Stamp Set behind my sentiment.

And, a sprinkiling of Rhinestone Basic Jewels ramps up the fun!

My last  card uses the Brushstrokes Stamp and the One Big Meaning Stamp.  In addition, it uses the Watermelon Wonder Envelope Paper.  Lots of stripes on this card!

Notice that the edges of the sentiment piece are inked with Watermelon Ink for a bit of contrast.
