Sep 1, 2015 | Fall, Friend, Generic, Hello, Seasonal |

My card today is based on a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches 201. Although I was a couple hours late for the deadline to post it on their website, I still wanted to share my card with you. Here's the sketch.

As you may have heard, Montana is battling many forest fires. In addition, smoke from fires in the neighboring stats of Idaho & Washington are also blowing our way. Finally we are beginning to get some clean air & we are seeing the return of our famous blue skies for Big Sky Country!
Are you perplexed by the title of my post? Let me explain it. Because I am happy about the clean air, I can only imagine how happy Snokey the Bear must be with the improvement.
I couldn't resist this cute bear dolled up with a bouquet of leaves and a snappy Old Olive Baker's Twine bow. To reinforce the leaf theme of the bouquet, I used a piece of matching paper from the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper. Behind this, I used the woodgrain paper also from the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper.

With such a happy bear on the front of my card, I wanted an equally happy sentiment on the inside of my card. The stamp set Tin of Cards had just what I wanted with "a happy hello" . A strip of the same leaf paper was used on the inside of the card.
Just a reminder that the 2015 -2016 Holiday Catalog is live today! The supplies used for my card are shown below. If you need any of the new product, please click on the shop now button located at the top of this post to be taken to my Online Store.

Sometimes when I look at a new Stampin' Up! Catalog I find a card that I just love. Of course, the 2015 – 2016 Holiday Catalog was no exception! The card I am referring to can be found on page 39 of the Holiday Catalog.

I struggled to get a good picture because I was photographing late in the day and did not have much sun. The good news – I am working on creating a photo enclosure. Hopefully the quality of my pictures will improve.
The Basic Gray card base is darker than it appears. It provides an appropriately eerie backdrop for the Halloween themed card once it is embossed with the life like Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder..

The Spider Web in the corner has been trimmed down to fit my card. And, the perfect way to adhere spider webs to my card is with the new Fine Tip Glue Pen. Trust me – you will want this glue pen!
"Boo" peeking out from behind the sentiment is a new die cut called Boo to you Framelits. They coordinate with an adorable stamp set called Howl-o-ween Treat.
Let's not forget some fetching ribbon. A length of the new Into the Woods 3/8" Rich Razzlebery Cotton Ribbon adds a pop of color and it sets off the Pumpkin Pie sentiment.

Speaking of the sentiment. it can be found in the new stamp set Among the Branches. Included in that set are the "eyes" and the birds that are stamped on the tree branches with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink.
The final touch is a Smoky Slate Thick Baker's Twine bow placed to draw the eye down.
Drumroll please! The 2015 – 2016 Holiday Mini Catalog goes live tomorrow, September 1st. So get your wish list ready and remember that you can always shop with me by clicking on "shop now" to be taken to my Online Store.

Aug 30, 2015 | Fall, Friend, Thank You |
Have you ever has such a busy week that when you finally returned home, you just wanted to crash? That's me after this week. We have been on the road and on the go for the last week. Actually I created this card before I left but just didn't have time to post it.

Sometimes I just like a plain and simple card. This s one of those times. Although the design is simple, it can be used for any occasion. All it requires is a beautiful piece of Designer Series Paper & a large sentiment.

The Into the Woods Designer Series Paper is so beautiful that I knew I wanted you to be able to see the amazing vibrancy of the colors – just like fall! The simple banner is notched with the new Triple Banner Punch found in the 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog. It is stamped with just the words found on one of the stamps in the set Thankful Forest Friends. Look closely and you will notice that I used 2 different shades of green. I used Old Olive & Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers to create the variation.

A small Daffodil Delight banner is topped with a thin strip of Soft Suede Cardstock. A small bow created with Linen Thread adds to the texture without taking attention away from that gorgeous dsp.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Be sure to check back to see what other delicious Designer Series Paper I will be featuring.

Ginger
