Have you ever has such a busy week that when you finally returned home, you just wanted to crash? That's me after this week. We have been on the road and on the go for the last week. Actually I created this card before I left but just didn't have time to post it.
Sometimes I just like a plain and simple card. This s one of those times. Although the design is simple, it can be used for any occasion. All it requires is a beautiful piece of Designer Series Paper & a large sentiment.
The Into the Woods Designer Series Paper is so beautiful that I knew I wanted you to be able to see the amazing vibrancy of the colors – just like fall! The simple banner is notched with the new Triple Banner Punch found in the 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog. It is stamped with just the words found on one of the stamps in the set Thankful Forest Friends. Look closely and you will notice that I used 2 different shades of green. I used Old Olive & Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers to create the variation.
A small Daffodil Delight banner is topped with a thin strip of Soft Suede Cardstock. A small bow created with Linen Thread adds to the texture without taking attention away from that gorgeous dsp.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Be sure to check back to see what other delicious Designer Series Paper I will be featuring.
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
Nice card! It is simple but, like you, I like the clean simple cards from time to time! Love the paper, the stamp, love it all. Great job!
I agree with you. Simple is sometimes the way to go. You picked a beautiful sheet of paper for your some card. I like this piece a lot. Nice job, wonderful choices.
I liked this DP when I first saw it – so bright and cheery. I knew it would just need the right big sentiment. But, the addition of the little yellow banner, the brown and the linen thread just kicked it up a notch better and I really like that part. Not adding the leaves that are with that stamp really made the sentiment shine! I now have the banner punch so I think I need to make something with it this week. Great job as always! Now, get some much needed rest!
Awesome card! I love the clean & simple appearances but this DSP is beautiful. Awesome card!
