Oh my gosh, this challenge really challenged me. Check it out and please let me know what you would have created – or better yet, join the challenge! Here's my card and then the sketch.
As you can see, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left.
The stars of my card are two new products that will be available September 1st. First, the gorgeous Spider Web Doilies. I love that they are double-sided and can easily be used as snowflakes by flipping them over to the white side when the weather turns chilly.
Second, the incredible Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It is the fabulous new 6" x 6" size and it gives such a life like impression. This is definitely a folder that I will use often. Love it!
As you can see, I sponged my textured tree limbs using a Sponge Dauber & Old Olive Ink. I like the look because it makes the tree stand out. I also cut a small Old Olive Banner that I texturized with the same embossing folder. The banner is decorated with a leaf found in the new Into the Woods Elements. A tiny Linen Thread Bow adds some sass to my leaf.
The sentiment from Among the Branches is stamped in Old Olive Ink, punched out with the 2" Circle Punch, & popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional. In addition, the word grateful is cut with a Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies. These work so nicely and they pop out of the die without problem. And, it was so easy to adhere to my card with the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs,
Ginger
STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
Ginger – This card is so unique! The spider web looks like it is coming out. You did an awesome job with this sketch!
Cob webs and spider webs are totally me and my housekeeping ability! I always see more of them in the fall so this seems so perfect! That embossing folder is a must. I can see it in other applications like a Christmas card with snow and a little cardinal. Love the sponging to showcase those trees! But, what I really love is that little wooden leaf in the corner! They are at the top of my list when I can order but maybe I should look around here as I probably have some I am hoarding! Fun interpretation to the sketch challenge! With the little cooler weather we are enjoying some apple crisp sounds so yummy just like in your sentiment!
What a great interpretation of this sketch. I love your card. I especially like the look of the spider web. It looks different then I have seen. 3D may be the answer. Did you bring the sides up a bit. That is what it looks like. You have such good instincts for card making. I like the bit of color on the trees and the added banner and the leave with the bow are the finishing touches. Very nice card.
WOW! The only way I can describe your card! Love everything about it! Awesome card!
