A charming Hostess Stamp Set called Pun Intended will be available in the new 2016 – 2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog when it is available on June 1st.

Although my card is just 3" x 3", it could easily work with a larger size. A stamp from Gorgeous Grunge inked in Smokey Slate & stamped off provides some background texture for the main attraction. The swirl of circles reminds me of the path a bee might fly. The image is courtesy of Project Life Memories in the Making (soon retiring) and is stamped in Bermuda Bay Ink.

A strip of Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape adds a pop of color and breaks up the intensity of the swirls. A sentiment from the Pun Intended Stamp Set is embossed with White Embossing Powder on a strip of Basic Black Cardstock that is then cut with a Project Life Cards & Labels Framelit. I modified the cutout by making it both narrower & shorter.

The bee from Pun Intended is stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink & colored with a Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker. After fussy cutting it, I popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. A trio of Rhinestone Basic Jewels adds the finishing touch.

The DSP from the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper used on my card is very serene with Night of Navy & Crumb Cake.

This picture depicts the Night of Navy & Crumb Cake colors brighter than they actually are in reality. Subtle & Serene is the feeling I get when I look at this card.
Ginger's Tips:
- A Crumb Cake card base 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
- Night of Navy 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
- Affectionately Yours DSP 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
- The sentiment from the soon retiring Dozen Thoughts is Heat Embossed with Copper Embossing Powder (available June 1st)
- A flower from the stamp set Love & Affection (available June 1st) was stamped on Watermelon Wonder C.S. & fussy cut. Both the flower & the sentiment are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Place a trio of Night of Navy Candy Dots (retiring) in the center of the flower.

If you need a sympathy card, or if you just want to let someone know that they are in your thoughts, this is a quick, easy & simple card to make. But, this design could also work for any occasion when paired with some of the busy patterns found in the Affectionately Designer Series Paper Pack (available June 1st).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate your comments and I read each & every one of them. Hopefully you have enjoyed seeing some sneak peeks of what is coming in the 2016 – 2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog. Remember that if you don't have an SU Demo, I would love the opportunity to earn your business.

It's sadly time to say goodbye to 2 fun products. The Bravo Stamp Set & Bohemian Designer Series Paper. Be prepared for a bold and bright card!

The colors in the Bohemian DSP Pack are so vibrant that I sometimes almost have to look away but at the same time there is something about this paper that just draws me in because it is so eclectic. I chose 3 different patterns for my vertical panels with the panel on the left being twice as wide as those on the right.

The sentiment from the Bravo Stamp Set is also big & bold. I thought that the dap & this sentiment paired well. After stamping the image with Bermuda Bay Ink, I heat embossed with Clear Embossing Folder. Two horizontal banners from matching card stock are angled on one end & stamped with a soon to be released stamp set called Moroccan Nights.

Feeling that the card needed another element, I went for a swirl of Gold Metallic Thread behind the sentiment. The inspiration for my card was Mojo Monday Sketch 392.
