I had so much fun playing with the Swallowtail Stamp set that I have another card with it, for you. Yesterday, I used the emboss resist technique, but today I just used the ink pads with a blender pen. If you have questions about either technique, just email me.
Just like yesterday, this card is much more vibrant in person. The difference is unbelievable. In person, the Swallowtail looks like it will fly right off the card. I'd be happy to show it to anyone attending my next event.
Geesh! Yesterday was April Fool's Day and I totally missed it. No jokes on me or by me.
On to stamping! Stampin' Up! has some wonderful extra large background stamps. Using them makes it really easy to create a dynamic card in a short time. In the Spring Occassions catalog on page 18, you will find the Swallowtail Background stamp. Honestly, the first few times I looked at it, I had no intention of purchasing it. Can you guess who is eating crow now? Yep, that would be me! Check out the card.
This is one of those cards that looks better in person. The colors are much more vibrant than they appear in this picture. Can you see where I trimmed the image in order to make it fit on the card? I find it best to stamp this image at an angle, then trim to fit.
Hope you all had a nice Easter. In my opinion, one of the most difficult parts of a Holiday, is the day after when life is suppose to return to normal. Do you feel that way too? Well, maybe we could make a wish ……..
That is exactly what the post today is about. Make a wish come true!
I am always looking for birthday cards. May is a very busy birthday month for me so I wanted to get a head start on getting them created.
