A little play on words. I'm saying Hip Hip Hooray because my husbands hip surgery went well. We arrived back in Butte on Friday afternoon with a good variety of gadgets in our possession. Because he can't bend too far forward, it was necessary to get what I refer to as "the sock putter oner". It is a rather clever contraption and will allow Bob some freedom when he is at the stage of needing socks.
He also has a grabber which allows him to snag clothes or other objects that he might need. For now, I am his "grabber" but the tool will be handy when he is a bit more independent. However, I don't know if it will work on the tv remote…..
We accomplished a big feat today. He had his first shower at home using the transfer bench. That is another terrific invention that allows him to sit down to shower without having to step over the tub to get in to the shower. And, the toilet ha been converted to a high rise!
Yesterday I was not able to go out and get our mail. So, you can imagine my delight when I picked it up today and there were 2 cards from friends and fellow Pals. Being on the receiving end of these cards, makes me realize just how important it is to send those cards. Sometimes my intentions are good but I don't follow through. After this, i will definitely do better. Thanks for the example ladies!
Let me share with you the wonderful cards that wre in my mail.
From Linda Callahan in New York…

Isn't that just sweet! I love it and so did my husband.
Chris R. from Iowa was so thoughtful. Check out these gems!

Isn't this so appropriate? I put both cards on top of the dresser in the bedroom so that Bob can be cheered up often.
In addition, Chris R. sent a special card to me in recognition of being in the top 5 in sales for the month for Mary Fish's Downline.

This was so special because I wanted to make a card in the box but who knows when I might be able to get it done. And, it is so appropriate for St. patrick's Day!
Thank you to all of you have reached out with good wishes, thoughts & prayers. I know that it has helped and we are so very grateful.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I actually did a bit of stamping today and will be sharing it tomorrow.
Hugs,
Ginger

The color Challenge for today from the Pals Paper Arts is the following.

I knew that I would use flowers for this challenge but I wasn't sure which ones until I started my card. This time, I have plenty of texture because my flowers are small.

If you look closely, you can see where I used 3 different embossing folders. The Fancy Fan Embossing Folder adds depth to the Very Vanilla cardstock piece, and the Scallops Texture Embossing Folder does the same for the So Saffron piece of cardstock. Finally, the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder spruces up the Rose Red banner.

In addition, I used 4 edgelits or framelits. No surprise that the Very Vaniia Circle was cut with a Circle Framelit. The Rose Red Scallop Circle is thanks to the Scallop Circle Thinlit from the Circle Card Thinlits set. The Adorning Accents Edgelits work magic for the Wild Wasabi scallop edge. Finally, the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners is stamped in Rose Red Ink and cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits.

The flowers from Petite Petals Stamp Set were inked with So Saffron Ink and punched out with the Petite Petals Punch. Some Rose Red Candy Dots placed in the center of the flower bring the flowers to life. while the Wild Wasabi leaves, punched with the Bird Builder Punch, add a bit of color. The 3 Rose Red Candy Dots in the bottom right corner serve as an anchor for the card.
The dotted background paper is the Wild Wasabi piece from the Subtles Designer Stack. Notice that the Rose Red Scallop Circle has some piercing a each scallop. The Very Vanilla Circle is touched up with some dots courtesy of the Rose Red Marker.
Remember that if you would like a free tutorial or 2 or 3, be sure to read my post from Sunday.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Sometimes I found just the cutest things on another blog. What I am sharing with you today is just that. Be sure to scroll all the way down to get the link to the video tutorial.
My adult daughter loves cadbury eggs so I am always looking for a cute and clever way to package them. When I saw a Cadbury Egg Throne, I just knew that I had to make some.

Isn't that just stinkin' cute! Connie Stewart created it. Here's the view from the other side.

The cracked egg with the emerging chick adds the perfect touch for a Cadbury Egg Holder.

Here's the link for the video tutorial.
