A little play on words. I'm saying Hip Hip Hooray because my husbands hip surgery went well. We arrived back in Butte on Friday afternoon with a good variety of gadgets in our possession. Because he can't bend too far forward, it was necessary to get what I refer to as "the sock putter oner". It is a rather clever contraption and will allow Bob some freedom when he is at the stage of needing socks.
He also has a grabber which allows him to snag clothes or other objects that he might need. For now, I am his "grabber" but the tool will be handy when he is a bit more independent. However, I don't know if it will work on the tv remote…..
We accomplished a big feat today. He had his first shower at home using the transfer bench. That is another terrific invention that allows him to sit down to shower without having to step over the tub to get in to the shower. And, the toilet ha been converted to a high rise!
Yesterday I was not able to go out and get our mail. So, you can imagine my delight when I picked it up today and there were 2 cards from friends and fellow Pals. Being on the receiving end of these cards, makes me realize just how important it is to send those cards. Sometimes my intentions are good but I don't follow through. After this, i will definitely do better. Thanks for the example ladies!
Let me share with you the wonderful cards that wre in my mail.
From Linda Callahan in New York…
Isn't that just sweet! I love it and so did my husband.
Chris R. from Iowa was so thoughtful. Check out these gems!
Isn't this so appropriate? I put both cards on top of the dresser in the bedroom so that Bob can be cheered up often.
In addition, Chris R. sent a special card to me in recognition of being in the top 5 in sales for the month for Mary Fish's Downline.
This was so special because I wanted to make a card in the box but who knows when I might be able to get it done. And, it is so appropriate for St. patrick's Day!
Thank you to all of you have reached out with good wishes, thoughts & prayers. I know that it has helped and we are so very grateful.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I actually did a bit of stamping today and will be sharing it tomorrow.
Hugs,
Ginger
So glad your hubby is home and the recovery can begin! Take care of yourself too Ginger! xox
What a nice thing to have happen. Very thoughtful of your Stampin Up Friends. Linda Callahan said it very well and I agree with her post.
Very nice cards!
Our computer was on the fritz and I was hoping the cards arrived in good shape. I am so glad the surgery went well and he is on the road to recovery – going home was a huge step (no pun intended)! The card in the box was really pretty easy – a bit rough around the edges but it was the first time I made these. The birthday/St. Patrick’s Day ones had the cupcake that asks Got Birthday? Then, I made a anniversary/St Patrick;s Day fussy cutting the top of the balloons from the SU paper and popping them up. More colorful! Anyway, glad the cards arrived in good shape. Take care of you two!
Love this Irish Box. Do you have a good video or tutorial for this small sized card in a box? Love,Love,Love it.
