A Ginger Snap! Happy Anniversary!

Our daughter & son-in-law will celebrate their 9th anniversary on the 9th.  Of course, I wanted a special card.  Although I started with the classic back & white with a touch of gold, it is not what I ended up using.  It just wasn't them.  But, I will share with you the card that didn't make the cut.  It will be used one day.

There are a few things that I will change on this card.  The scallop on both the top & bottom right is going to get altered.  The texture provided by the Beautifully Baroque Texture Impressions Embossing Folder fit the theme of anniversary.  I used it on both the Shimmery White & the Basic Black.

I thought that some Gold Foil  punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border would also add to the elegance.  Of course, the Gold Foil square trimmed by the Adorning Accents Edgelits adds to the bling.

The image is from the Perfect Couple Stamp set which is found in the Occassions Mini Catalog.  It was stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Basic Black Embossing Powder.  In the picture, you can't tell just how shiny the image turned out.

Be sure to stop back on Wednesday to see the card that made the cut.

A Ginge Snap! A Thousand Thanks!

Earlier in the week, I mentioned that I had a few more cards to share that used the same design as cards posted at the beginning of the week.  A change of color palette and change of stamps and I have a new card!

  Thanks rt

This is such a simple design but it allows for a quick card that still has a bit of pizazz.  Simple Stems is an appropriate stamp for this design because it takes up quite a bit of space.  However, I wished that I had stamped the image up higher.  Strawberry Slush, Smoky Slate, Wild Wasabi and Shimmery White form the color combo today.

Thanks rt

The sentiment is from Lots of Thanks.  If you make thank you cards, this is a must have set. With 9 stamps in a variety of fonts, this set provides many options.  Because I wanted to use a banner on this card, my preference was a single line sentiment.  A Strawberry Slush Scalloped Border and a few Smoky Slate Candy Dots and my card was ready.
