A Ginger Snap! Oh Hello!

I am hearing that some of you are not getting email notification of my blog posts.  If you wouldn't mind, please try subscribing again to see if that helps.  Please keep me posted if that works.  Afterall, you are the reason that I blog so it is important to me that you get the proper notification.

The stamp set Oh Hello is one of my favorites and sadly it is on the the retiring list.  Better get it before it is gone!  I am fascinated by the arrows in this set so I wanted to use it one more time.

Obviously the Stamp-a-ma-jig was my best friend when it came to keeping the chevrons lined up.  Of course, these would be really fun to do with different colors of ink but this time I just wanted to do a monochramatic card so you could really see the pattern.  If you look closely, they almost look 3-D.

The sentiment is also from the Oh Hello stamp set.  After stamping it in Calypso Coral, I punched it out with the Curly Label Punch.  The mat was created by using the same punch with Calypso Coral Cardstock.  After punching it, I cut the label in half and matted the sentiment.  I felt that the card needed something else so a sprinkle of Gold Sequin Trim did the trick.

A Ginger Snap! PPA 210 Challenge!

Time for a sketch challenge from the Pals Paper Arts (PPA).  Nicole Watt created a sketch to challenge us all.  Please join the fun at PPA by sunbmitting your creation using the sketch below

A combination of Retro Fresh Dsp & the On Film Framelits were just what I needed in order to work with this layer heavy sketch.  The Framelit allowed the dsp to show thorugh while the So Saffron banner proudly sports my sentiment from the Peachy Keen Stamp Set.  A strip of Retro Fresh Washi Tape adheres the banner to my card.

A few embellishments at the bottom of the framelit add some interest.  The camera was stamped in Coastal Cabana Ink & cut out with the Camera Framelit.  A sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped with Tangerine Tango Ink on an Essentials Wooden Element.  A fun  bow  tied with Linen Thread is adhered on the top right with a Glue Dot.

This was definitely a fun set to work with and the Retro Fresh dsp is one of my favorite packs of paper!  Remember, if you need any of the supplies used on my card today, just click on the product picture shown below to be taken to my online store.

A Ginger Snap! Lots to Share!

Yikes, I can't believe that Typepad – my blog server was experiencing technical difficulties that knocked it out for many days.  Although the outage affected people worlwide, the Typepad team is working dilligently to restore service.  It may be spotty for a few days but please hang with me while my blog is full service again.

In my frustration, I decided that I needed to make a vibrant, fun card to tame "my beast" .  I was obviously distraught over the whole crashed blog issue.  It wasn't just my blog.  All of us using typepad were affected.

Vivid Vases left

Can you tell what I used to decorate my vases?  If you guessed Retro Fresh Washi Tape, then you are right. I simply stamped the vase image twice on Very Vanilla c.s. that I then cut with a Deco Label Framelit.  I used a blender pen and So Saffon Ink for 2 of the vases and added some squiggles or dots with the Tangerine Tango Marker.  The remaining vases were decorated with a small piece of Washi Tape and then all the vases were fussy cut.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals, the decorated vases were placed over the flat stmped vase image.  A Blender Pen with So Saffron Tangerine Tango Ink brought the flowers to life.  The mat for the vase image is another pattern of Retro Fresh dsp cut with a size larger Deco Label Framelit.

It was just the card that I needed to lift my spirits after the blog issues.  I hope that it makes you happy too!

And, now for the Paper Pumpkin News.

PAPER PUMPKIN PREPAID SUBSCRIPTIONS

Want to promote Paper Pumpkin at your parties and events? Do it by offering prepaid subscriptions-your hostess earns benefits for them!

With  Mother's Day just around the corner, it's a great time to take advantage of these prepaid subscriptions that can be bought as gifts. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

ItemPaper Pumpkin Prepaid SubscriptionPrice (Shipping Included)
137858 1 month$19.95
137859 3 months$59.85
137860 6 months$113.70 — save $1 per month
137861 12 months$215.40 — save $2 per month

The Perks

  • Paper Pumpkin Hostess Benefits: You can add prepaid subscriptions to workshop orders, which means the hostess can earn benefits on Paper Pumpkin!
  • Higher Commissions: You get commissions on the full price of the prepaid subscriptions even though the shipping costs are calculated into the price.
  • Uninterrupted Subscriptions: When your customers redeem their subscription on www.mypaperpumpkin.com, they can put in their payment information at checkout to keep receiving their monthly kit once their prepaid subscription ends (although they aren't required to give their payment information).

How It Works

  1. When your customer places their order, they'll receive an e-mail with instructions on how to redeem the prepaid subscription.
  2. They'll go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com and enter the redemption code.
  3. They'll start enjoying their monthly Paper Pumpkin project kit the very next month!

Tips

  • Encourage your customers to put in their payment information when they're redeeming their prepaid subscription so they'll get to continue receiving their monthly kit after their prepaid subscription ends. (But your customers won't have to put in their payment information if they don't want to.)
  • Let your hostesses know that they will earn benefits for prepaid subscriptions. Coach them to think of all their friends who'd love to receive a project kit every month. Remember that even if they can't attend the workshop, prepaid subscriptions can be ordered with a hostess code.
  • Talk about Paper Pumpkin at all your stamping events. Let people know how exciting it is to receive each month, and how much fun it is to put together the projects. If customers seem nervous about committing, recommend a three-month prepaid subscription as a good trial so they can learn how much they love it.
  • Consider contacting all of your current Paper Pumpkin subscribers to let them know this option is now available. If they love the program, they may want to consider a prepaid subscription as a gift for a friend.
  • Share this image on your blog, Facebook page, Pinterest, or anywhere else!
