I wanted to get my Easter post done today so that I could share the cute bags that are going to my Grandchildren. These bags were made from 2 matching sheets of 12 x 12 designer series paper. For mine, I chose to use the Subtles Designer Paper Stack. The 2 bags below are going to some of my Grandsons. Inside the bag are squirt guns filled with jelly beans – could be a wet Easter fir this Grandma!

Each bag handle is made from 12" of Crushed Curry 3/4" Chevron Ribbon. The handles are reinforced with matching cardstock punched with the 1-3/4" circle punch. After folding them in half, the bag was sandwiched between the two sides of the folded circle. The cute chicks on the front of the bag and the top note cupcake package in the bag were inspired from Connie Stewart.

Bet that you could guess that one of these bags is going to my only Granddaughter. If you guessed that she was getting the purple bag, then you guessed right! The blue bag is for my youngest Grandson. Of course, these contain squirt guns too! In addition, all 4 bags have an old embellishment container that has been repurposed as a little bunny container filled with robins eggs. In order to make Mom & Dad happy, all 4 bags also contain a colorful summer outfit. Maybe they won't mind the squirt guns so much…….

These bags are headed to a sweet little neighbor girl who provides my husband & I with hours of entertainment. Her yard faces our kitchen window and she is definitely an outdoor girl. Little ones can be so entertaining! The other bag is for a little girl who will be spending Easter with my Son and Daughter-In-Law. And, you know what is included in both bags! Yep, squirt guns!
Please have a happy and peaceful Easter filled with all the things that matter. I am taking Easter off but you know that I will post the discontinued list early Monday morning. My card today is from the stack of cards that I made for the PPA 200 challenge before it donned on me that I was suppose to use a sketch. This card has a cutout on the front through which the inside shows. I will show the card closed, partially open, and fully opened.

The Oval Framelits made it easy to cut both the window and the window frame on the front of the card. For the frame, nest 2 Oval Framelits on the same piece of cardstock. Run it through the Big Shot and you have the perfect frame to match your window. All of the stamps are from the Oh Hello stamp set.

In order to celebrate the 200th challenge for the Pals Paper Arts (PPA) both Design teams are ceating for this challenge. As members of the design team, the challenge is double – use the sketch with an assigned monochramatic color. My color choice is Calypao Coral. The sketch is from the uber talented Maragaret Moody.

No joke, I actually made 5 cards for this challenge. For the first 4 cards, I created them using just Calypso Coral & Whisper White paper but I did not use the sketch. I somehow missed the fact that we had to use both our color and the sketch. I found out AFTER I submitted my card. Needless to say, I was under the gun to get something done fast. The result …….

The 2 patterned paper pieces are from the I Am Me paper pack & are matted with Calypso Coral c.s. The Whisper White c.s. layer was embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. A 1-3/4" Scallop Circle was punched from Whisper White c.s. and a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle was punched from Calypso Coral.

One of images from the Six-Sided Sampler was stamped on Whisper White with Calypso Coral Ink. After punching it out with the Hexagon Punch, I used the 3/4" Circle Punch to punch a hole in the middle of the hexagon. A small Calypso Coral banner was threaded through that hole after being Heat Embossed with Whisper White Powder. The sentiment is also from the Six-Sided Sampler set. The addition of some Rhinestone Basic Jewels finished the card.
During the next couple of weeks, I will share the other Calypso Coral Monochramatic cards. I will spread them out so you won't get sick of that color!
