A Ginger Snap! Ho! Ho! Ho!

The Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies make for easy cards!  My card today is simple because I wanted to try the thinlits without worrying about creating a masterpiece.  However, the possibilities to dress this card up are endless.

Because these thinlits are very detailed I found it best to use the precision base plate.  However, if you don't have one, then consider using some wax paper with your sandwich.

The decorative strip at the bottom of my card is courtesy of one of the thinlits in the set.  And, my sentiment can be found in the Greetings from Santa stamp set,

A cute sentiment for the inside can also be found in the Greetings from Santa stamp set.

After learning how the Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies work, I created a shaker card.  I will share it later this week.

What additions would you like to see on this card?  Although I have been very busy preparing for my annual scrapbooking/stamping retreat, I took time today to create samples for my event.  These are not original but cards that I liked and wanted to try.  Leave me a message if you would like me to post them for you to see.

A Ginger Snap! Presents & Pinecones!

I saw this card on Pinterest and understand that it was a copy of a card on display at the Japan Stampin' Up! Home Office.  I fell in love with it and knew that I wanted to try and create it.

Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper is what makes this card special in my mind.  The paper is just so bright & vibrant that it shouts joy.

Would you believe that the presents are actually cut from one of the patterns in the Designer Series Paper?  Cutting them is pretty easy because they are a basic shape. Look closely behind the presents and you will see some background stamping accomplished with a stamp from Christmas Pines inked with Delightful Dijon Ink.

The banner is created with Mint Macaron C.S.  & the Banner Triple Punch.  A piece of Presents & Pinecones Washi Tape adds a touch of color to the top of the art piece. A simple Whisper White Baker's twine bow is attached with a Glue Dot.

The sentiment from Christmas Pines is stamped in both Emerald Envy Ink & Cherry Cobbler Ink.  Fussy cut "sparkle" & pop it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
