Today will always be a special day at my house because it was the day that my son Christopher was born. He was a happy child who provided my husband and I with much joy. And he has grown into a fine man with a family of his own. Happy Birthday Chris!
Chris and his family live in a small rural town. Their home is in a beautiful setting with trees and lots of wildlife. Often when we visit we see deer, elk, turkeys, and they have even had a bear & a mountain lion. I couldn't resist the stamp set In the Meadow for his birthday card..
The Woodlands Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is the perfect choice for me to be able to create the deer so they are standing in the trees – much like they do at Chris' home.
Does the sentiment seem a bit odd for a birthday card? There is more to it so please read to the end of my post.
And, the inside of my card.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Great card Ginger. Did you use a blender pen to color the deer?
Love this card! It is so perfect for Chris. You put in a lot of thought to your cards!
This is great and I really liked the sentiment that way! Pretty coloring and the deer look fabulous with the paper! The soft suede cardstock panels look really nice too instead of ribbon. They add just a great focal interest. For the deer and the embossing of the trees – how did you do that? They would be separate pieces in my thinking but they look like just one piece with the deer behind the trees. Really a great natural look. Or, did you take the blender pen and erase any traces on the deer with the embossing? Whatever, I like it and I am sure Chris will love it!
This card is so appropriate for Chris! He truly is a wonderful young man! I love how you did the deer behind the trees. Beautiful card & perfect for Chris!
This is a tremendous card, perfect for Chris. You did fantastic
Work on it. I lime the saying, expecting knowing why you used it.
