It's time for another Sketch Chalenge from the Pals Paper Arts (PPA). A shout out to the talented Pal Ann Schach for a super sketch that is sure to get your creative juices flowing. First my card.
Now the sketch.
From the time that I first saw this sketch, I planned on using the sentiment from Layering Love. It turned out to be the perfect size oval for the sketch. And with the new Layering Ovals Framelits, it was easy to create the perfect Scalloped Oval Mat. In addition, the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper, added just the touch of elegance that I was looking for with my card.
I really like a Night of Navy/Daffodil Delight combo so that is what I decided to use. My card base is Night of Navy topped with a narrow Whisper White Mat which is ideal for showing off the gorgeous DSP. The Daffodil Delight Mat is embossed with the Sparkle Texture Impressions Embossing Folder & matted with some Night of Navy Cardstock. Did you spot the trio of hearts stamped on the inside of my card with Night of Navy Ink?
A narrow strip of Night of Navy Cardstock is embossed with the Festive Textured Impressions Embossing Folder but you have to look closely in order to see that texture. The sentiment is dressed up with a Daffodil delight Enamel Shapes Heart & a sweet bow created with the Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine. The final touch on the front of my card is a trio of Daffodil Delight Blossoms created with the Tree Builder Punch & topped with some Night of Navy Enamel Shapes.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Charming and crisp in navy, white and yellow. I love the touch of baker’s twine on the sentiment for a soft accent.
Love the bright yellow and navy together! That sentiment is gorgeous as the focal point too. The trio of hearts is so cute peeking out from the inside of your card!
It’s all about the pop of yellow with the navy! This is beautiful!
Love this card! The DSP is beautiful & how you used the two embossing folders to make your card design pop is outstanding. Love the heart next to your sentiment. Also the dots are wonderful. Love the bow on your card.
Another card that is a winner. I love these colors you chose. The DSP is very intriguing. I like the extras you added that make the card a winner. Thanks for how complete your posts are.
I don’t have most of the items you used on this card and now I want them! Oh no!!! Cute, cute card, Ginger!
The blue and yellow look terrific together and I love the sentiment.
Love the color combination – crisp and elegant! Love all the little details from the embossing folder to the little yellow heart. Of course we need the enamel dots on the flowers as well. I gotta get me some of that baker’s twine color! I almost missed the little hearts inside. Ah gee, can it get any sweeter?
I really liked how this card turned out Chris. I am definitely a fan of Night of Navy/Yellow and it just all seemed to go together. Funny how sometimes creating a card is so easy and other times it is like pulling teeth. Speaking of all of that, I did preorder that new Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set. Hope I can create some nice cards with it…… Sometimes I should not be so impetuous!
Hugs
Ginger
Absolutely perfect, Ginger! The yellow and navy look wonderful together. I love all of the yummy texture. The three hearts on the inside are so sweet!
