Our family has lots of summer birthdays so I decided to make a few cards ahead of time. The Birthday Banners Stamp Set with the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits makes quick work of creating a few birthday cards.
I decided to create my own background paper using the balloon stamp from Birthday Banners. My color palette consists of Dapper Denim, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron & Delightful Dijon. The balloons are stamped randomly off & on the paper to create a background dsp for my card.
The candle is stamped with Mint Macaron Ink on Whisper White Cardstock in 2 sections leaving some white space in the middle in order to make the candle extend beyond both sides of my banner. This piece with the candle is then cut with a Lots of Labels Framelit.
The banner from Birthday Banners is stamped on Whisper White Cardstock with Watermelon Wonder Ink. The sentiment on the banner was stamped with Delightful Dijon Ink. The Bunch of Banners Framelits made quick work of cutting it out. A small bow made with Thick Whisper White Twine adds the final touch. I purposely kept this card simple so that it could be used for anyone.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
Wow, Ging, making your own DSP is genius. Love how you did the balloons on the paper! The banner stamp intrigues me. Any person would enjoy getting this card.
This is a WOW card! I love how bright and cheery it is. The Birthday banners is intriquing.I must confess, I had trouble finding the white Thick Baker’s Twine bow. I think it was because it was white on white or it could be my “old eyes.”
What a fun background you made! I love it! The birthday banner goes perfectly with the dots which I think you stamped. I had to smile – gotta watch that flame on the candle – it will catch the baker’s twine on fire! That candle and the birthday banner really stand out on the white piece you die cut and looks so cute. So bright and cheery and FUN! That Dapper Dinim is a perfect blue to use with the other colors. Great job!
Love this! The stamped background is fabulous!
So cute and colorful, Ginger! What a fun card to send to somebody!!
You gave me a good chuckle with your comment bout the bow catching fire – guess I better watch where I put those bows!
As for the balloons, the dots are actually on the balloon stamp but I like the texture. I am becoming quite fond of Dapper Denim. It is so vibrant! The banners are easy to do and I love that they have framelits too. Just finished a couple of spinner cards that I will post later in the week. Hope all is well with you tonight.
