Playing with the Swirly Bird Stamp Set has been very enjoyable this week and it is surprising how different the cards are that I have created with this stamp set.
My favorite part of my card is the waves of water beneath the boat. They were created with a thinlit die found in the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. The Swirly Bird Stamp Set & the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits can be purchased as a bundle. When I first saw these at Onstage Live, I knew I liked them but being able to play with them makes me know that I LOVE this bundle!! It is truly versatile but that is not surprising because there are 24 photopolymer stamps in this set.
The 4-1/4" x 11" 1card base is Watermelon Wonder. The sail on the boat is stamped with Mint Macaron Ink. The boat is stamped with Dapper Denim Ink, the flag with Watermelon Wonder Ink & the sun with Daffodil delight Ink. The sun is cut with a thinlit from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. The boat components are fussy cut and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment from Bear Hugs is stamped on Soft Sky Cardstock with Dapper Denim Ink. This piece is banner cut on one end & also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sun is a swirly stamp from the Swirly Bird Stamp Set & cut with a thin lit.
Finally, I thought you would enjoy a close up of the water created with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Die. After cutting it out I cut it down to fit my card. The background is embossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Thanks for stopping by my bog today! I appreciate any comments you leave for me and I read each & every one.
Hugs,
Ginger
Super card, Ginger! Love the scene you created on the flag. The embossed background is perfect! Thanks for the inspiration this morning!
Using the die as waves is just brilliant Ginger! And I love that you added the sentiment from the bear set!
I love this card! It is simple, cheerful and fun! I like how you did the water. The tag is wonderful, I couldn’t keep a straight face reading it. This card and stamp are keepers. Thanks for another peak at your creativity.
When I saw this swirl in the set I knew it would make the best sun and perfect for a water scene or a dessert scene like in a broiling hot sun. I guess when I think of the beach or boating I think sunburn thus the broiling hot sun! Anyway, this is just too cute. Perfect. At least it wasn’t too hard to fussy cut the boat pieces. That water looks fantastic using that die – really looks like waves – you could even add ink to the wave part but then it might not work either maybe the reverse as in white caps? Never mind, scratch all that! The embossing on the card whether they are just stars or starfish looking works perfectly. But, that sentiment is the best! When I saw it in the set I have been waiting for someone to do something clever with it and you did!!!! Aweigh to go Ginger, a great and fun card!
What a card! It is fun!
Love your card; TFS!
