I promised another sneak peek from the Swirly Birds stamp set.
My card base is Whisper White Cardstock which is topped with a piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock that is cut on an angle. The angle is accented by a Sweet Sugarplum Ribbon that is tied in a knot.
It looks like flowers are growing out of the ribbon. The stems are stamped in Mint Macaron Ink while 2 of the flowers are stamped with Peekaboo Peach Ink & the remaining flower is stamped with Sweet Sugarplum Ink. In addition, the sentiment from Layering Love is inked with Sweet Sugarplum.
Included in the Swirly Bird Stamp Set is a stamp with various size dots. This is a nice stamp for adding texture which is what I did behind the flowers & above the sentiment. Because the stamp set includes a bird and you know how well birds & flowers go together, I just had to add a little bird. It is stamped with Pool Party Ink at a bit of an angle. The final touch is the addition of tiny pearls to the flower centers & the birds eye.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate all your comments and read each & every one of them. If you are able, please let me know what you think about the cards I created using this new bundle.
Hugs,
Ginger
Another great card with this set! I love that you put this on an angle, the texture in the background and that luscious looking ribbon! Is the ribbon easy to work with?
This set is very versatile. I have enjoyed all the cards you have made from it. This card is different from the others.
I like the layout of the card, the colors you used, the ribbon, the flowers,Etc. You do amaze me.
The spots or dots almost look like rain drops making the flowers grow! Love the little bird with the pearl eye, so cute with that tail part sort of tilted up with the wind. I am really liking cards done on the diagonal lately and the ribbon looks great dividing the two panels up! I like the sentiment but right now I wouldn’t know what “me” is to be like….sort of in a muddle of things. Oh well, could be a lot worse! Sweet card.
I like this card! It is playful but packs a bunch with the message.
