This card is for my brother who has a birthday coming up soon. I am delighted with how it turned out and hope that he is too. I can't take full credit because I cased the card on page 20 from the annual catalog while making some changes.
The Whisper White card base is 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2". I stamped the moose with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and then used Aqua Painters with Island Indigo & Old Olive Ink being careful not to color the moose.
The card is anchored with a piece of Old Olive Cardstock that was stamped with the Dictionary stamp in Old Olive Ink. I am very partial to that look – how about you? What do you use to anchor your cards?
This piece is topped with an Island Indigo striped pattern found in the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack. In turn, that is topped with a narrow strip of Island Indigo card stock.
In order to pull the eye upward, I created an Island Indigo Banner that is topped with a piece of Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon that is folded and adhered to the banner. A small Basic Metal Button is threaded with Old Olive Baker's Twine & glue dotted to the ribbon.
The sentiment from Yippee-Skippee is colored with Island Indigo & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. The cake from Little Buddy Birthday was stamped in Tuxedo memento Black Ink & colored with the same markers. The sentiment is punched with the Decorative Label Punch & the top is trimmed off.
So much of the product that I used on this card is retiring. If you would like to copy this card, be sure to get the following stamps & paper before they are gone.
- Walk in the Wild
- Yippee-Skippee
- Little Buddy Birthday
- All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack
You can find these in my Online Store by clicking shop now & clicking on the retired list.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

STAMPIN' UP! SUPPLIES USED:
Love the moose. Been thinking of this stamp off and on but haven’t got it yet. I bet your sister loves the moose too!!! I wish they’d sell just the moose stamp. They can have the birds.
Had to smile! Can’t you just imagine the moose saying that in his best Mr. Moose voice off of the old Captain Kangaroo Show? He needs a few crumbs coming from his mouth though. Lots of fun details here! Great job and he’s gotta love it!
Love it and so will Jim!
Very unique! I love the moose and I’m sure Jim will to. I will have to go to the book, I have looked at the moose but not with the eyes I saw this one with.
I love your card & Jim will love it too! I like how you bring it all together, with the paper, ink, and embellishments.
