It's time for another Color Challenge from the Pals Paper Arts. Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Crushed Curry – reminds me of Thanksgiving!
For my submission, I did use a Thanksgiving theme.
First let's look at the pocket on the fron of the card. It comes from the Gratitude for days Simply Created Kit. The kit is not only a way to express gratitude. This kit can be used in many ways and today I am using it to create my card. The A sentiment from Mingle All the Way is colored with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers & then stamped on one of the Journal Cards from the Kit. A small piece of 1/4" Cotton Pumpkin Pie Ribbon is stapled on the card.
The Old Olive card base is embossed with the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder for added texture. I like how the embossed triangles mimic the triangles on the front of the pocket.
A piece of Crushed Curry Polka Dot dsp from the Flowerpot paper pack adds a touch of color and some much needed white space. A small strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock is placed at the bottom of the dsp in order to add my 3rd element of that color – the ribbon, the sentiment and the strip.
A trio of Linen Thread is wrapped around the card and tied off with a couple of Autumn Wooden Elements for some added visual interest.
In addition to using a kit for cards, I also assembled a kit and I am using it to record what I am grateful for this month. The best part is that I can get the same kit out next year and write on the same cards by just printing 2015 before I jot down what I am grateful for. Actually, there is enough room on each card to do this for a number of years. I think it will be fun to compare them over the years. And when I am finished, they can go in a scrapbook.
It's not too late to get your Gratitude for Days Simply Created Kit! Just click the picture below to be taken to my On Line Store.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I had a short period where I made a bunch of library card pocket cards but I haven’t for awhile. I guess I am just overdue! Sorry, couldn’t help myself – I call them library pocket cards – is there a better name for them? Love the slight tilt of the pocket toom h=just another fun touch!

Aw Chris, I so look forward to your comments. I had a bazaar today and have been spending all my time getting ready for it. It went well but my back is not so well. Hate it went it goes out. Time will help it but in the meantime it really has me sidelined and I have a class on Tuesday -yikes! Hope all is well with you and that you are warmer than we are.
